Something's wrong

"Sh--....what time is it?", a kinda tired voice mumbles, the voice being Ghoul's. He sits up in his bed, looking around realizing he was hung over from last night. And he also realizes his brother Blood isn't in bed. Matter of fact, he himself was in his brother's bed. How this happened, he doesn't know and he honestly doesn't care much. His head pounds as he gets up, his wrist seems to have gotten worse than before, "God d---...this is h---...". He gets out of the bed and wobbles slightly at first, but gains his balance. The light in the window beams in like a flashlight in a cave, nearly blinding Ghoul as he walks past it, "F--- you, sun!", he shouts as he pulls open the door roughly. Upon opening the door, he sees Poison pacing the hallway looking quite sickened and worried at the same time. "Poison, what the f--- are you doing?", Ghoul says while scratching the back of his neck, "Shouldn't you be in bed?". Poison looks over at him after coughing, "Jet and Star are m-missing…". Then suddenly, as Poison mentions Star, Ghoul remembers exactly what happened last night, and as far as he knew Star may have been wandering alone. He didn't remember if he saw Jet or not, but if Poison was home it's obvious Jet had been there, "Ok you need to sit the f--- down and calm your a--...ugh...f---ing h---...we'll find them like we always do. I'm sure they're out somewhere getting recruits or something with Blood.", "Blood's gone too!?", "Yeah duh! He wanted to talk with them a--hats at the recruiting station.", "W-Whatever...and stop cursing so much…". Poison sits in a chair as he walks into the kitchen, waiting for Ghoul to sit across from him in the other chair. "I'm an adult, I can cuss whenever the F--- I want!", Ghoul rubs the side of his head and he walks into the kitchen, looking around hazily as if he were still drunk. The kitchen seems to be a bit clean since yesterday, Ghoul remembers he and Kobra had messed it up during their fight. There was still bruising on his neck, but he luckily had it covered up by the collar of his jacket. He knows Jet cleaned the kitchen, since Star hadn't been home to do so obviously, "Ok. So before you even say another f---ing word or even panic me into this situation...I need to know some sh--. When the h--- did you wake up? And how the f--- are you walking if you're sick as h---?". The room filled with an eerie silence as Poison looks down thinking of what to say. "I don't know when I woke up...but I've been throwing up all morning and I feel like complete sh--. I couldn't walk very well earlier...but I can now.", Poison says as he lays his head in his arms on the table. Ghoul scoffs a bit and gets up, "Where the h--- is Kobra?", "He left an hour ago…", "To do what?!", "Go find Jet and the others…", "You sent him out alone?!", "NO! He left before I woke up...he left me a note.". Just then, it seemed Ghoul had no care over Poison's condition. But he did, and he shows it by walking over and pulling Poison's arm around his shoulder, dragging him out of the chair and walking him to his room, "I'm going out to look for them. You need to rest, so you're gonna lay your a-- down and sleep. And if you b---- about it….Imma slap the h--- outta you to make you go to sleep.". Without hesitation Poison nods in agreement. Knowing that Ghoul was cranky as he was right now, he probably would slap him if he had disagreed. Ghoul takes Poison to the bed and helps Poison get on it, "Alright. You better not get up. I'll be back in a little while if I find them. If I don't, I'll call you and look till tomorrow. If you need anything just text or call me.". After a few seconds, Ghoul takes his leave and walks to his room. "D---...this is gonna be h---...", he says as he gathers his stuff. He realizes he has his gun, and it seems someone had put his mask on the dresser in his room, "Imma bet Kobra and Star don't have theirs...f---...", he puts his mask on after holstering his gun, looking around to make sure he had everything before he left. When he exits his room, he peeks into Poison's and smiles as he sees his leader asleep. "At least he's ok...hopefully he stays asleep till I return..if I return that is.", he walks away from the door, shutting it as he steps down the hallway to the living room. The living room was a bit darkened, all the blinds being shut. But to his surprise, he floor was a mess. Trash littered the floor and a few books. "If Kobra didn't do this...I dunno who did.". He walks over the books and gets to the front door. The door creaks a bit as Ghoul opens it, the sun beaming in his eyes as he walks out. "Agh….once again….F--- YOU SUN!". And with that, he makes his way to the road. His wrist starts to spasm uncontrollably and pain shoots up his arm. "What the h---?!", he grabs his wrist and continues to walk, hoping it stops. Due to being a bit wasted, he wasn't in the best of moods and it just angered him that the throbbing didn't relief itself. He gets a bit tense as he sees the killjoy car, a few bullet holes in the side of it. Not to mention the blood on it too. He walks over to it and looks around for any sign of the missing killjoys, since the killjoy car wasn’t in it’s usual parking spot someone must have drove it here. If it wasn’t Poison, it had to have been Jet. "Holy...sh--...", slowly he reaches down, and picks up Jet's gun. It has a little blood on it since it was laying in what appeared to be a puddle of blood near the car, "What the h--- happened here...where the f--- is Jet….". He looks around again and sees black skid marks on the road, as well as a few dead BL workers. "God d--- it...I hope he wasn't captured or...killed….", he mumbles the last part, seeing yet another puddle of blood with a gas mask sitting in it. Immediately he knows who it’s for, "F---ING LUCID DREAM!!!". Ghoul turns to run back to the headquarters, but bumps straight into something behind him that wasn’t there before, "Yo, calm down Ghoul.". He looks up and sees Kobra, holding ...Jet's blood stained mask. For A second it was unbelievable, Both Jet and Star were missing and they find this. Blood, bullet holes, the abandoned killjoy car, even some of Jet’s gear left behind and bloody? What it all meant, he doesn't know exactly. But there's a feeling he will know soon, especially now that Kobra's here. "Kobra what the h---?!", Ghoul glares at him sharply, dropping Jet's gun due to holding it with his injury sided hand. Kobra puts his hands on his shoulders, "Hey calm down. I don't know what happened here either. What are you doing out here?", "What the f--- are you doing here?!", "Looking for the others, I suspect you're doing the same?", "What the f--- does it look like to you, a--hole?!". A sigh escapes from Kobra and he picks Ghoul up, holstering him over his shoulder and walking back to the headquarters. "B----! PUT ME THE F--- DOWN RIGHT NOW BEFORE I F---ING KICK YOUR A--!", Ghoul shouts angrily as he starts kicking and hitting Kobra. This all does nothing to aid escape, "Calm your a-- down and shut the h--- up...I'm taking you home. I gotta talk to you and here isn't the best place for it.". Kobra continues to walk even if he's still being kicked and hit, and Ghoul wasn't one bit happy about this, "Just cause I'm shorter than you, doesn't mean you can carry me around like a d--- boombox!", "Ya sound like one.", "WHATCHA SAID, B----!?", "Shut up. That's what I said. Now stop being a wasted a--hole.". Ghoul just sighs and stops beating on Kobra. Knowing well that it wasn’t a good idea to fight against Kobra at a time like this. When they return to the house, the front door is wide open. “Oh...h---...no…”, Kobra drops Ghoul and runs inside quickly. Ghoul grunts as he lands on his stomach, “That wasn’t necessary, motherf---er!”, he shouts as he sits up. And as he sits up Kobra runs over to him in a panic, “My brother’s gone! Get up, I think he left to look for the others by himself! We gotta find him before he gets hurt!”. Ghoul stands, pulling his bandana off and tying it around his throbbing wrist in hopes to maybe calm the pain, “Ok, calm the f--- down, B----. I’m kinda wasted and I’m in a sh--y mood so try not to f---ing put me in a worse mood than I already am in cause YOU WANTED TO F---ING DROP ME!”, he crosses his arms and glances up at Kobra fiercely. Kobra raises his hands up a little, “Um I’m sorry about that, but my brother is really important to me. You don’t understand that cause you don’t have a sibling close to you.”, “You b---- at Poison all the d--- time! At least I’m nice to my brother! He wants to stick around with me, unlike with you and Poison!”, “F--- you! I do not b---- at him!”, “Yes ya do, a--hole!”. Honestly, Ghoul had made a wrong move to tell Kobra that. Ghoul was unnerving Kobra in a way that made him want to choke the life out of him, but he doesn’t do it. Instead, despite knowing that Ghoul isn’t in a good mood and may yell at him, he walks away from him to find Poison. And just like he thought, Ghoul shouts at him, “Where the h--- are you going?!”, “To find my brother. I wanna stay friends with you so I’m not gonna f--- around with you while you’re hungover like you are, we have more important things to worry about and I don’t feel like fighting with you.”, “Um well...huh. I guess maybe you’re right.”. Kobra seemed surprised that he actually calmed him, but whatever he did worked. What he doesn’t realize is that they aren’t alone, something was watching them the whole time they had been there. The being watching them hops out of the bushes with a smile on his face, “Howdy! Is this the Killjoy headquarters, buckaroos?”, his voice was strong with a southern accent. Kobra and Ghoul sharply turn towards the western like boy, who was just as tall as Poison with shoulder length black hair and a bandage eye patch over his left eye. His other eye was deep green and it matched swell with his country style. “Who the h--- are you?”, Ghoul says with a slight sass in his tone. The boy smiles more and spins his pistol in his hand after fixing his cowboy hat, “Well, I’m a new recruit here! My name’s Silver sherif, unless ya want my real name. Me and my horse Rocket happened to be on our way here, when we spotted someone walking out of your hideout!”. “Where are they?!”, Kobra asks, ignoring the fact that the guy had randomly popped out of nowhere. “Welp he’s sitting on my horse at the moment.”, Silver Sherif gestures behind himself, and clear as day Poison was mounted on an awfully tall jet black horse, “He’s the leader of the killjoys, right? Party Poison? He looks sick as a cow in the winter of canada.”. Ghoul sighs and stomps up to Silver, “Get him the f--- off your d--- horse, ya texas talking a--hat! Who sent you here?!”. Silver looks at him briefly confused before smiling again, “Cheetah sent me here to come check on things. I’m guessing you must be Fun Ghoul, right? And he’s Kobra kid? They said there were more of you but I only see you two and Poison, partner.”. “Did you happen to see what happened to the killjoy car?”, Ghoul asks with a sigh. In response, Silver shakes his head, “Nah, but I did see the car. That belongs to y’all? Oh wait! There’s someone else with me! Midnight!”. Out comes another kid, a girl a little shorter than Ghoul with very long golden hair, “What is it, Silver?”, she asks a bit quietly, looking and seeing the other two killjoys. Kobra tilts his head before walking past them all and pulling Poison off the horse, “Alright, so there’s two more of us here. I think that’s good, but their both recruits. Ghoul, we’re gonna split up and you’re gonna choose which one of the recruits you’re taking with you. I’ll get Poison to bed and I’ll take whoever you don’t.”, he says as he puts Poison on his back and carries him inside. “I sure as h--- ain’t taking you with me.”, Ghoul says as he glares at Silver, he then turns to the girl, “You’re coming with me.”. The girl nods and walks after the man who now appears to be venturing back to the killjoy car. “So, what’s your name?”, Ghoul says looking over at her, he felt strange looking at her cause he was really used to looking up at everyone, “I’m Fun Ghoul.”. “Oh, I know who you are. I’m Midnight Sky, it’s nice to meet you Ghoul.”, she says while smiling, “They said you were short, but I didn’t think you’d be just barely taller than me.”. Ghoul seems to be sobering up more, walking around the bullet holed site, “Well, I am pretty short for a guy, I guess. It’s normal for you to be short.”, “Why?”, “Because you’re a girl. That’s why.”, “Oh yeah.”. Ghoul opens the car door and yelps loudly as he grasps his wrist, “F---!”. The sudden shout alarms Midnight and she walks over to him, “Are you ok?”, she asks a bit concerned. Ghoul looks over at her and nods, climbing into the car and examining the inside. Everything was good looking on the inside, not a tear or scratch or even a bullet hole which was strange. “Well, at least we know the car really is bulletproof on the inside, “I’m sorry if I’m a bit b----y, I’m kinda...wasted if you know what I mean. Anyways, where are you two newbies from? I’m sure you aren’t from around here.”. Midnight glances around and looks in through one of the windows, “I’m from Louisiana and well, my partner is from Kansas. We just came here a few months ago from Indiana, and when we heard of the killjoys we wanted to join cause we don’t like the government for...a few reasons. We’ve been traveling on the road for years.”, “Wow really? That’s pretty neat I guess. How old are you guys?”, “I’m 15 and Silver just recently turned 19.”, “He’s the only one with you? Where is your family and stuff?”. Midnight takes another glance around to see if there’s any danger, before opening one of the back doors and sitting in the seat watching Ghoul search under one of the front seats. “I don’t know who my parents are, honestly. I’ve always lived with my older brother and younger sister. Silver has always been one of my best friends, and before we left Indiana something really bad happened. We were attacked and well, my brother got killed. I’m not sure what happened to my sister, which is another reason why I joined the killjoys. Ever since my sister and brother were out of the picture, Silver has always protected me and cared for me. I could never repay him for what he's done…", she looks up at the sky sorrowfully and sighs, “What about you?”. The question was sudden, he crawls in between the two front seats and looks at her, though seeing she isn’t facing him, “Why do you wanna know about me? I thought you already knew who I was.”. “I know who you are but...I don’t know your story. Don’t all the killjoys have one?”, Midnight looks at him confused, watching as Ghoul swings himself into the passenger side, exiting the car afterwards, “Look, I’m not sure if I should tell you anything about me, but I can tell you something. If you don’t get back to the hideout you’re gonna get shot.”. Midnight gets out of the car as well and down the road in the distance are a few BL workers in a beaten down black BMW truck. All of them appeared to be armed to the teeth with guns, knives, and possibly explosives. Ghoul stretches and grabs his gun out, “Go warn the others. I’ll hold them off.”. He watches as Midnight runs off towards the hideout, just before facing the oncoming enemy. “Alright, stupid f---s! Come at me with all ya got!”, he shouts before pointing his gun towards the truck and shooting at them. The bullets break the glass of the drivers window and Ghoul assumes he’s killed the driver. Though he couldn’t be more wrong, the car parks a few feet in front of the killjoy car and they open fire on Ghoul. “OH SH--!”, Ghoul yells out before ducking down behind the car. Eventually the bullets stop flying and Ghoul rises up from his place behind the car and shoots one of the workers dead in the face. They open fire on him again and manage to take him down, a shot to his stomach which more than likely wasn’t an intention due to all the shooters shooting in every direction. Ghoul falls hard on his back, grunting as he does so. “F---...!”, he tries to sit up, but he suddenly felt too weak to. Blood slowly pours from his wound, he places his hand over it and looks at his blooded hand, “Holy sh--...”. The workers walk towards him, one grabbing him up and placing a gun to his head. He hears a gunshot, expecting to be dead. But he’s not, the worker holding him collapses and he’s left standing on shaky ground. Another few shots sound off and after a few seconds all the workers are down. With slightly blurred vision, Ghoul looks around for who saved him from extermination, holding his hand over where he was shot. He caught a glimpse of someone before fainting and blacking out completely. And when he wakes up, it’s dark and he’s not outside anymore. He sits up barely able to see anything, but makes out the barred cell door. Upon feeling on the wall, it’s wooden. B.L.I.’s cells didn’t have wooden cells as far as he knew so he was at least glad he didn’t end up in B.L.I. somehow. He takes notice that he’s on a mattress, slowly he puts his hand on his stomach and felt his blood soaked clothing. The wound wasn’t bandaged or anything as far as he could tell, but it had stopped bleeding. It wasn’t just his stomach wound that hurt, his arm still throbbed in pain but it was worse than before. “Hello? Is anyone there?”, he says as he shakily gets up, his body feeling weak like when he was first shot. He walks to the barred door and peeks out of it, from what he could see, barred doors lined the hallway. It looked more like a house than a prison, and the hallway was only dimly lit with candles. He looks around again, trying to see inside the door across from him, “Is anyone else here? What the h--- is this place?”. “They got you too?”, comes a voice from the other cell, a voice he knew too well. “Dream? What are you doing here? Where the f--- is everyone else?!”, his voice shakes slightly as does his whole body, but he manages to stay standing. The throbbing in his wrist suddenly shoots pain up his arm and he yelps, falling against the door roughly and sliding onto the floor. A loud metal bang sound echoes off the walls as he compacts the door, “What the h--- happened to you, Ghoul?”, comes the voice again after the noise quiets. Ghoul looks through the bars, his vision blurring a bit, “None of your d--- business…”, “I’m just trying to help, my man. There’s no reason to be mad at me.”, “I’m mad at myself, stupid a--! And you but I’m more mad at myself!”, “Why so?”. Ghoul shakes and tries to get up, but he’s unable. He honestly didn’t wanna talk with Dream, but he really wanted to know where his friends were and Dream was obviously there. The halls go quiet, except for very silent sobbing. It’s very soft, and it’s really familiar to Ghoul, “Star is that you? It’s me Ghoul! Where are you?”. “G-Ghoul? I-I’m over here..!”, the voice responds, it was obvious now that Ghoul was correct. It was Star, and he sounded pretty upset though not too far away. “Star what happened to Jet?! Is anyone else with us?”, Ghoul once again attempts to get up, but his body doesn’t budge. More sobbing vibrates off the empty halls, “I-I dunno...I haven’t seen h-him since we got caught. H-He got shot and so did Dream and then well...I tried t-to get help but they caught me too.”. “Listen, Star...we’re gonna get out of this. Please stop crying, we’re gonna be ok.”, Ghoul manages to say through his gritted teeth as he shakily gets up. The sobbing quiets down, but it doesn’t stop. “Star did someone hurt you…?”, Ghoul asks with a bit of concern, supporting himself against the doorway of the room he’s in. Star doesn't respond for a second, but after a little while he does and Ghoul stays patient with him, “I d-don’t know. I think my hip is a little b-bruised but otherwise I think I’m ok…”, “Ok that’s good. Now calm down, I’m sure someones bound to come here. Maybe we can ask where we are.”, “We already did, they w-wouldn’t tell us.”. “And they really don’t want us to talk to each other. But it’s not like they can stop us.”, Dream chimes in, sighing a bit loudly. Ghoul stumbles and falls against the wall, being very dizzy and weak, “Who are these people?”, “They’re a BL unit, from what we know so far.”, “Then why did they shoot the BL workers who attacked me if they’re BL?”, “I can’t answer that clearly. All I can say is that it’s probably something to do with them being a bunch of psychopaths.”. The hallway abruptly flushes with light and down the hallway a door opens widely. Ghoul crawls up to the door and looks out of it. Two BL workers walk down the hallway conversing while holding a prisoner, the prisoner being Cheetah. Cheetah looks around, one eye slightly black and his leg having a few cuts. “Cheetah?”, Ghoul whispers to him as he passes, though Cheetah doesn’t hear him and is locked in a room near Dream’s. The workers walk over to Ghoul’s room and open the door, forcing him to get up and walk out with them. They take him down the hallway, Cheetah sighs and sits with his back against the barred door. “Where are they taking him?”, Star asks quietly as the door shuts, the hallway being dark once again. Cheetah looks back towards the hallway, “I’m not sure. He doesn’t look to good though…”. “He l-looks awful..”, Star says quietly and he starts crying softly once again. Despite not knowing Star that well, Cheetah couldn’t stand to hear him cry. But he knows there’s nothing he can really do about it, “I hope they didn’t get Tiger and the others…”. Hours pass, Cheetah waits for anything to happen, even if it’s bad. The silence was killing him, Star had stopped crying and his sobs were the only thing preventing the eerie silence. He desperately wanted to speak, but he didn’t know if he’d be waking any one of his mates. All he heard was soft ringing in his ears and he didn’t like it. Silence, that’s all there was. That is until the silence was suddenly broken by a very quiet voice singing one of Poison’s songs ‘Sing’. He sat there listening, and the voice faltered a few times from a whimper before it repeating the song over again. “Star...is that you singing?”, Cheetah says after he hears the voice fade and die in the darkness. No response comes for a few minutes, only the deathening silence. “Y-Yes...Poison sings it all the t-time and I just...I miss everyone.”, Star says in a shaky voice. Cheetah turns around and looks in the hallway, “Why do you like that one in particular? Poison sings a lot of music and you choose that song?”. It’s not as if he hated the song, though he was filled with curiosity on why Star liked it. “The song reminds m-me I’m not alone...that there is hope in the world…”, quietly, Star starts sobbing again. It makes Cheetah feel bad, as if it’s his fault Star’s upset, “That’s a pretty darn good reason to me, kid. You ever sang for the band?”. This conversation was kinda perfect to possibly get Star’s mind off the situation, Cheetah smiles a bit as he waits for a response. “I-I um...I’ve never really heard them play before. But no, I don’t think I could. Ghoul asked me the night before but I didn’t want to..”, Star crawls up to the door and sits in front of it, Cheetah could barely make out the very dim colors of light in his eyes. It wasn’t normal, but Star didn’t seem to be an ordinary boy, “Wow really? I think you’d be a great addition for at least one song.”, “I get nervous when people stare at me. Plus I’m only a new recruit, I don’t think they’d really want me to just come in unannounced.”, “I don’t think that’s true. They seem to care about you. Heck, Jet and Blood always come to the recruiting office thanking me for one of the best recruits they’ve gotten in months. Unlike you, most recruits leave without a reason.”, “Do you really think so?”. Of course Cheetah wants to say yes, but he has to think about all this. Yes, Star was a great person and to be talked of highly by the killjoys was an honor. Even he and Tiger didn’t get a lot of appreciation, so for a newly recruited boy to get such a high place was quite a surprise, “Well...yes I do think so. They talk good of you and I believe they want you there with them.”. And in that moment, he knows Star had to have smiled at the compliment. He didn’t even have to see it to know he did. “Thanks...maybe I’ll talk to them about it when I get a chance.”, Star replies quietly, looking towards the door again. “D--- I wish the killjoys liked me that much, you’re lucky to be with them.”, Dream says suddenly out of nowhere, revealing that he was still awake since the last time he talked. Both the killjoys face Dream’s cell door, or at least which one they assume is his, “Hey, you did it to yourself dude. You know how Poison is and you yourself ruined your reputation with him.”, Cheetah says a bit annoyed. “What exactly did he do?”, Star asks after a short silence. Smoke exits Dream’s cell and he answers instead, “I beat the sh-- outta Kobra.”, “Why?!”, “I don't...let’s just not talk about it. Maybe if I get to rejoin the killjoys I'll tell you.", "Ok then...". The smoke slowly dissolves in the air, though it doesn’t reach Star or Cheetah, “Speaking of Kobra and Poison, I wonder if they even know what happened. I wouldn’t doubt they know you’re gone, thought. If Ghoul was looking for Star and Jet, I’m sure Kobra and Poison are looking for you guys too if Ghoul was.”. In response, Cheetah rolls his eyes, “You talk as if Ghoul’s dead.”, “I’m not saying he is, but hey, we don’t know that. Heck, we don’t even know what they did with Jet. For all we--”, “Shut the f--- up.”, “Ok, Ok. Geez…”.  Cheetah sighs and pulls his hands over his face, feeling frustrated and a bit angered. Yet no one spoke again, and even if he knew people were there, it felt as if he were all alone. Once again, there was nothing but darkness and silence.
