Cringe Attack

The doctors told Phil that Dan had a bad concision from the fall, but he should remember everything in due time which was a good thing. Phil wasn't sure what he was going to tell the fans but he knew he had to come up with something.

Dan on the other hand was still not understanding why he was living with a 27 year old who still acted as if he were in primary school. It didn't bother Dan at all honestly, he thought it was kind've cute.

"Phil?" Dan said to Phil who was at the other end of the couch checking twitter to see if the fans had the slightest idea.

"Yes Dan?" he said as he scrolled through the tweets, not many fans knew the truth but some had figured out that something was probably wrong with Dan because he didn't answer Phil if he was okay.

"Am I really that popular as a YouTuber?" Dan asked scooting over to see what Phil was doing.

"Yeah, we're both so popular we even have a radio show Dan" Phil said sadly because it still stung that Dan didn't remember anything about him.

"Oh" was all Dan could say, he felt like he was being a let down to a bunch of fans he didn't remember having.

Phil noticed this and patted Dan's back. "Dan it'll be fine, the doctors said you'll remember everything eventually, don't be hard on yourself."

Dan nodded and yawned, Phil taking note of this spoke "Oh you must be tired Dan, here" he said closing the laptop and leading Dan down the hall to his room.

"I would let you sleep in your own room but I want to keep a eye on you if that's okay?" Phil said sitting on the bed.

"Oh it's fine, I understand, you just want to be here for your best friend" Dan said as he lied down on the bed with Phil at the foot.

Phil had told him some stuff on the ride home, like they were best friends, popular on YouTube, the basics really.

"Yeah" Phil said crawling into the bed next to his friend.

"Aren't you going to turn of the lights?"

Phil had forgot to tell Dan about his fear of the dark.

"Oh, right, I forgot to tell you you have a really bad fear of the dark, so I'm leaving it on for you." Phil said adjusting the covers around him.

"I think I'll be fine Phil, I won't be alone so I won't be scared"

"You sure Dan?" Phil asked worriedly.

"I'm sure, if I get scared I'll tell you okay?"

With that Phil turned off the light, which it did scare Dan a little, but not as much.

Phil seeing this rubbed Dan's back gently to comfort him, which it actually did.

Eventually Dan ended up in between Phil's arms feeling safe. Phil seeing that Dan didn't mind snuggled closer to the younger. Before they knew it they had both fell into a comfortable sleep.

In the morning Phil was to first to wake up. He didn't know what he was doing. He was cuddled up to Dan while Dan was cuddled into him.

Phil had always had feelings for Dan, but never mentioned it. So he felt like he was taking advantage of Dan when he had no memory of him.

As Phil tried to get out of the bed Dan stirred and spoke "Good morning Phil".

"Hey Dan, how you feeling?" Phil asked sitting back down on the bed.

"I feel like my heads been bashed in" Dan said sitting up and holding the area he hit when he fell.

"The doctor said it would hurt in the morning, do you want some pain medicine?" Phil asked as he looked over Dan's bump.

"That would be nice, thanks Phil" Dan said and Phil left the room and brought back a water and a pain pill.

"Do you remember anything at all?" Phil asked after Dan had swallowed the pain pill.

"I haven't Phil" he replied sounding guilty.

"It's fine, here try watching some of your videos, it might help you remember something" Phil replied as he brought over a laptop.

Phil opened the laptop and typed in his password. He then logged on to YouTube and pulled up some of Dan's videos, most of where Phil was present.

"This one sounds familiar" Dan spoke as he pointed to a video titled 'How NOT to Stay Cool'.

Phil clicked the title and just giggled, because he knew Dan was about to have a cringe attack. He was going to remember trying to stay cool by walking around the house naked.

Just as Phil had thought, Dan smacked his forehead "Idiot! Why did I even try that knowing you were home?"

"I don't know but that image was burned into my mind" Phil said hiding his face in his hands even though he liked the image he would never admit it.

"At least I have a nice body" Dan said as he winked at Phil.

Phil tried to disregard that wink as a friendly gesture but he couldn't so he changed the subject. "What should we tell the fans?"

Dan thought for a little then spoke "I think they deserve the truth".

But honestly, he felt bad, Dan felt like he was letting down the fans even though he was going to let Phil tell them the truth.
