Got me daydreaming

"The light switch isn't the only thing I'm turning on," he said. She gasped as is hands slipped under her tank top where they caressed her skin.

"What are you doing?" She breathed, her voice barely a whisper.

Instead of responding, he walked her back into the wall where his body pressed against hers. His muscles flexed against her but all she could focus on was his roaming hands that had made their way up closer to her chest. She was so caught up in his touch, the glass of water she'd been holding fell onto the floor where it splashed onto their legs.

  "I'm so sorry," she said.

"It's okay, I like you like this."

"Like what?" She asked and watched him slowly make his way down to her ear, his breath sending pleasurable shivers down her body.

   "Wet," he growled.

"Wake up!" Cheryl shouted, shaking Mira until she was forcefully ripped out of her dream world.

"Wait... what?" Mira said groggily, sitting up. As she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes she found Cheryl looking at her with a knowing smirk. Well, actually, all the girls were fully awake and staring at her.

"Who were you dreaming about?" Veronica said.

   Your dad.

"Why... Why do you want to know?" Mira asked. Had she accidentally let something slip in her sleep?

"You were making some interesting sounds."

"Come on guys, leave her alone," Betty sighed.

"Fine, you're no fun," Cheryl rolled her eyes.

Mira let out a sigh of relief as the girls all went their separate ways to prep themselves before breakfast. She would definitely never be attending another one of Veronica's sleepovers. Not after this.

The girls sat around a large dining table, eating breakfast and gossiping about things happening around town. From what Mira heard, she learned some guy named Archie was dating Veronica and that he was the hottest of the hottest, or so Veronica put it. Judging by Betty's reaction to that claim, she didn't seem to think so.

"So, what's the situation with Veronica's parents?" Mira whispered to Valerie, who was sitting beside her. From what Mira had seen, she had noticed there wasn't a single picture of anyone besides Veronica in the house.

"They're divorced," Valerie whispered back. "Apparently she tried to ruin his business or something and now she lives in California with her boyfriend."

"What are you two whispering about?" Cheryl said with a fake smile. Mira hadn't decided if she liked Cheryl or not yet. Yes, she was nice at times, but there was something off about her.

"Just about how much I love whipped cream!" Mira said, taking the can of whipped cream and spraying it into her mouth. Just as she finished, she noticed Mr. Lodge had walked in and was staring at her and her mouth full of whipped cream.

   Mira immediately swallowed.

"Daddy!" Veronica smiled, getting up from the table to hug her dad. He was much more clothed than he had been last night. Still, Mira could see the outlines of his muscles through his tight dress shirt reminding her of the way he had effortlessly anchored her last night.

"Goodmorning, Mr. Lodge," the girls all said in unison before returning to their separate conversations.

Mr. Lodge nodded at the girls as he returned his daughter's hug.

"Daddy, I'd like you to meet Mira. She's new to Riverdale," Veronica said, directing her dad's focus towards Mira again. When he looked at her, his eyes turned a little darker and his jaw clenched a little tighter.

As Mira stood to extend her hand, she mentally applauded herself for putting on a bra that morning. Although, she didn't exactly care she hadn't been wearing one last night. "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Lodge," she smiled.

As he approached her, his eyes were locked onto hers, but she couldn't tell what he was thinking. He didn't look too friendly, but the way he was looking at her wasn't in judgment either. So what was it?

"Likewise," he said, firmly taking her hand and giving it a small shake. Did he even realize how strong his grip was? "You have a little..." he said, letting go of her hand to tap the edge of his lips.

"Oh, oops," Mira smiled, licking away the small amount of whipped cream from her lips. "Is it better?"

"Yes," he swallowed, before turning away to walk towards the kitchen.

"Oh, I just had an idea! Mira, come to my speakeasy tonight!" Veronica said.

"You have a speakeasy?" Mira said. Rich people, man.

"Yes, it'll be great! We can dress up and I'll play a special song just for you. Oh, and there'll be lots of hot guys."

"She doesn't like high school boys, remember?" Betty said and Mira noticed as Mr.Lodge glanced at her from the kitchen. God, was this really the type of conversation Veronica wanted to have in front of her father?

"Well, it's a good thing there's a big selection of all types," Veronica said.

"You should sing too," Tony said.

"Oh, I don't sing," Mira said, terrified of the idea.

"It's okay. No one in Riverdale can actually sing, except for maybe Josie, but that doesn't stop us from randomly breaking out into song and putting on elaborate musicals that have absolutely nothing to do with the actual plot," Valerie said.

Mira looked down at her in surprise. Had no one else heard that?

"You're proving yourself to be very boring, newbie," Cheryl said.

"Whatever, it's settled. Mira, tonight you're coming to the speakeasy," Veronica said.
