"Where the hell are you?" she demanded.
"I'm on my home from work. Why? Is something wrong, babe?"
"You tell me."
Ben didn't answer, and her anger surged.
She hung up.
Just in time; her phone rang with another call.
"What?" she asked. She peered over at the adjoining street to check for traffic before she pulled out.
"Have you heard from—"
"No. Why are you calling?"
"I found something interesting."
"Save it for later."
"You're sure? I think this is something you want to hear right now."
The car behind her blared its horn. Apparently it was offensive to actually stop at a stop sign.
"I'm a little busy."
"Still, I think you—"
"Not now." She hung up again.
