"The patient has lost so much blood already but it's good that first aid was done." The doctor explained to us.
"How.. is she now?" Uncle asked the doctor which I was about to answer.
"She's in a critical stage for now. We can only analyse the situation and let you know after 24 hours. Now excuse me." The doctor again went inside the ICU.
I supported uncle and made him sit on the chair.
"Will she be fine... Sanskaar?"
I looked at uncle who was looking at the door with tears filled eyes looking completely broken and devastated. It remained me of myself years back when I was waiting for my mom to get well soon and he was there beside me.
"She will be." She has to be.... She really has to be.
I looked at my hands which had stains of her blood. Everything turned into a horror just in few minutes. If I had not allowed her to go alone then she would have been fine now but... I had a strange feeling from morning back then that my heart had been thumping non stop. I felt something was about to go wrong and that was the reason I wanted to stop her from going alone but she was equally stubborn I had to accept my defeat.
I was about to tell her today about what I felt for her and it ended before it started.
I kept pushing her with my cold behaviour but she kept coming behind me. At times I felt irritated and angry when she told that she wanted friendship from me because I know I was not capable of having friends like others. I know I cannot spend time and hang out with friends like others does. I had responsibilities of taking care of my mom, uttra and spring. She stayed strong on her decision and earned to see my other side which I had not shown to many. Even after knowing about me I didn't see her pitying on me but instead I saw her caring for me. She didn't dare to ask me a question about my past as she knew how I feel about it. She kept staying by my side whenever I wanted and made me smile. She gave an arm when she knew I was not well and kept saying me everything was going to be alright.
At one point I know my feelings for her has started taking another way. I wanted to pull her in arms keep her with me forever. I wanted to stare at those doe eyes forgetting the world. I wanted to protect her smile, wipe her tears, make her laugh and be her side.
I took out the silver ring which I brought for her for this evening. Maybe this was not suppose to happen today.
I kept the ring inside my pocket safety and that was when I remembered about the bracelet which she gave me. I took the bracelet out and instantly I could feel the fire igniting in me. I closed my eyes remembering her and looked at the ward.
I promise swara.. I won't spare him and you should also promise me that you will be fine.
"Uncle.. I've got to go out now." I stood up.
"Any problem?" He looked at me.
"No uncle, An unfinished business is to settled now, I'll be back soon."
~
"What the...." He yelled as he landed on the floor as I kicked the chair from the side. He looked up at me angrily.
"What the hell sanskaar? What's wrong with you?" Wrong with me? I pulled him up through his collar and pushed him to the wall harshly.
"How dare you hurt her!" I whispered to him dangerously. Everytime I look at him that blood stained swara came to my eyes which made me mad in anger. I was turning blind that I don't see the brother who hurted me but a monster who wanted revenge in any form.
