The Two Of Us

Chapter 11

Davis' POV

I am still freaking out. It's too much for me to take. We almost reach our building when I see Linda and Justin arm in arm. Can't they see me? Linda lets go off his hand and walks over to me only after she whispers something in his ear. Seriously? She comes over to join us. Oliver, Justin and Dylan leave to their building and I am left with no one but Henry, Caleb and Linda for company.

linda looks at me and smiles sweetly. Its so annoying that I want to smack her smile right off that slutty face. but I resist. She slips her hand into mine and I shake it off harshly.

"What?!" she asks me in that annoying fake innocent tone she uses. Henry shakes his head and Caleb raises his eyebrows and frowns. No one knows about the fiasco that happened except Henry. I come into my senses and try to ease the mood a litte.

"Listen up bitch, I don't know what games you're playing here but we're done. Now did you really think that I don't know that you fucked Justin? You are the first person I dated and congratulations because guess what? You just ruined everything. Now go fuck with whomever you fucking want." I say silently and take off to my room with Henry and Caleb leaving a starled Linda behind.

"what was that about?" Caleb asks me.
"What? I told you it's nothing. I'm just tired." I say. And the way Caleb looks at me, I know that he doesn't buy it.

"Whom are you fooling Dav. I know you. It's okay if you don't want to tell me right now. Just take care." He says and smiles at me.

The most amazing thing about Caleb is that he understands. He knows just how much to ask and where to drop it. And I am greatful for it.

We reach our dorm and get ready for bed. Henry catches my eye and I give him a look. He nods and I understand that he gets it. He knows something is wrong. I gesture him to come out and we go to take a walk in the campus.

"What's up Dav? Why'd you act like that. I know something's on your mind. You never loose your guard." Henry sounds concerned.

"Henry, there's a real serious problem."I say, looking him right in the eye.

"Is it Linda?" He asks cringing.

"No it's way worse." I take out my phone and hesitate a bit. "Henry, I opened Darcy's journal. I took a photo but I'm pretty sure you are not expecting this. nor are you ready for what's in the photo. No one is. I almost fainted." That seems to get his attention. I show him the photo and his reaction is just as I expected.

First he squints at the photo and only then he realizes who the person must be. His eyes go wide and I can literally feel his heart rate quicken. He sways a little and regains his balance. I see the beginning of a bead of sweat on his forehead. He opens his mouth to say something but shuts it again. He looks at me as if questioning me. I give him a curt nod. He finally opens his mouth.

"I-Is this-"

"Elizabeth McField? Yes. And guess what? She's Darcy's mother." I say.

"impossible. She did not have a daughter!"Henry half screams.

"Calm down. I know exactly how you feel. But right now, let's go to the dorm. We can't stay here long."

I say and we head to dorm. We open the door and see that Caleb is fast asleep. We on the lights and Henry squeaks.

"What! Keep quiet."I scold him.

"Fuck Dav." He says. His voice is horribly shaky. He's damn scared. I nervously glance at Caleb only to find that he is still asleep. I sigh and look at Henry again.

"What's the matter!?" I ask him.

He has a peculiar note in his hand. I snatch it from him and he collapes in his chair I can positively say that he is really scared. I look at the note only to find weird words with no meaning and then the truth hits me. Now I'm as scared as Henry.

"It's crypted" Henry says and I nod.

"Fuck. Someone knows about the organisation."
