Darcy's POV
I look at the guy. He is the same guy who was in dorm no. 66. What was his name again?...
"You remember me, right?"
"Actually...I know that you are the one from dorm 66 but I may have forgotten your name?" I say smiling apologetically.
He laughs. His laugh is cute.
"Henry Grey." He says.
Then I realize it he was the one who was the kindest to me. He was the burger guy.
"I did not know you had taken literature advance."
He truly sounded surprised. Of course I acted like a complete dumbass In his dorm the other day. I slightly blush.
"Yeah. I did not expect you to be here too."
I say and then immediately regret it. He must think that I feel like he is an idiot.
He laughs again. His laugh is deep and full. The one which makes you question why you are not the one dating him. He has dimples on both his cheeks that I did not notice before. He indeed is cute. But not my type.
"How much did you score in your graduating year?" He asks casually.
"I scored a 96%" I say.
That gets his attention.
"What?" he asks clearly amazed.
"Forget about me. How much did you score?"
I don't want that reaction. I know he thinks that I am stupid but he makes it too obvious. Not his fault but I still don't like it.
"I got a 97% in my graduating year. I wanted to go to Harvard but came here."
"Why? Why would you leave a Harvard scholarship for Lawrence?" I just didn't get it. I could have gone to Harvard but it was too far away and with all the mess my family was going through, I couldn't even think of going far away.
"Because Davis wanted to. Honestly, we both could get a Harvard scholarship but we came here instead. Davis came here because well, he had a lot going on and he couldn't afford to go to Harvard."
"Davis? The guy who was making out? No offence but he seems kinda like a dickhead." I say and Henry laughs. At the same time, the professor enters the class and we quiet down.
"Hello class, I am professor Simon and I would be teaching you advance literature. Now tell me, how many of you have read Pride and Prejudice?"
My hand shoots up and I look at Henry who has his hand up too. That surprises me. I did not think of him as a book obsessed person.
"Good good. Quite a lot of you have your hands up. I am impressed. Now,
Let me see... You there. Can you give us a synopsis of the book?"The professor says this pointing at me. I gingerly get up and remove my personal diary. I remember once I had written a review on the book. I open it and start speaking.
"Pride and Prejudice is a humorous story of love and life among English gentility during the Georgian era. Mr Bennet is an English gentleman living in Hartfordshire with his overbearing wife. The Bennets 5 daughters; the beautiful Jane, the clever Elizabeth, the bookish Mary, the immature Kitty and the wild Lydia."
I say. Quite impressed by my performance.
"Well done. Sit down." He says. And I sit down.Henry takes the book from me and and tries to read it but I snatch it from him and he grins sheepishly.
--------------------I look at the time and am surprised that it passed away so quickly. It's the end of the lecture and we all are packing our bags. I pack up my belongings and look at Henry. He is doing the same thing.
We finish and Henry looks at me.
"Well Darcy, it was a pleasure meeting you." he says, extending his arm as I shake it.
"Same here. Meet you next lecture " I say smiling at him as we all depart.
-------------
I come back and find that Hazel and Zöe have not yet come. I sit on my couch and start empting my bag. I search my bag for my diary. It's not there.
