"Ive missed you" Sophie said while sittind down beside me on the sofa.

"Its been how many hours?" I joked.

"I know, I know! But I worried about you coming back here. I couldnt stop thinking of you all night! And then you didn't reply to my text's, so I rushed over as soon as I could!"

Suddenly I was very confused.

"Texts? What texts?" I asked her.
I got up and headed for my denim jacket that was on the banister of the stairs. I wore it yesterday when I arrived and remember shoving my phone in there numerous times during the taxi journey. As i put my hand in each pocket and rummaged around, I said a silent prayer.

"Please let it be here, please let it be here" I muttered. But there was no such luck. Disappointment came over me.

"I literally took of my jacket last night and went to bed! That was it!"

"Well lets search the house. Come on, it won't take long. At least you know it's in here somewhere!"

Thats Sophie Turner for you. She was always the optimist. I used to call her Sophie 'where there's a will there's a way' Turner, because she honestly believed that no problem was too big to sort out. Thats what I loved about her when we first met.

We spent what felt like hours searching the house, but it was no use.

Then it hit me.

The garden!

I told Sophie that I had gone out there for a matter of seconds just to see the scenery yesterday, and with that, just like a sniffer dog she was outside virtually crawling around the grass. But it was still no use. I stood up straight and tried to recap my steps yesterday.

"I got out of the taxi, went into the house, then I came out here, and then..."

Oh crap.

"And then what?" Sophie urged. She was ready for a mission, I could tell.

I stood there frozen stairing at the barnyard until Sophie followed my gaze and finally copped onto where this trail was going.

"You didnt go in there, did you?" She asked.

"I must of left it in there" I half answered her.

With that, I hopped over the fence and turned back to stare questionably at Sophie, who was looking at me as if I were crazy.

'Was I?' I wondered to myself.

"You owe me" she said, finally climbing over the fence to meet me. I smiled thankfully at her and off we marched to the barn.

Just like old times.
