We drove for about an hour before we reached the hotel, I couldn't help but feel bad that I said those things about Annie. It's been a while since I said them, but it's never bothered me.

I don't know why she doesn't talk, the curiosity is eating me up. Someone can't just wake up and decide there not going to talk anymore.

But more importantly, why am I dwelling on this subject? I should be thinking about the guys. I shouldn't be thinking about her.

I tried to trace my mind off of the fact that I couldn't stop thinking about a girl I haven't even had a conversation with, because she can't talk!

Well she could, but she chose not to avoid question. Ugh why am I still thinking about this.

We arrived at the hotel after about an hour in the bus/van situation.
"Ok kids, I'm going to hand you guys each a room card and you can head to your rooms" the teacher said, sitting in the lobby waiting for us to get settled.

I grabbed my room card and Annie followed. "This is our room" I say trying to open the door. It wasn't working after like five minutes so Annie stepped in and got it to work on the first try.

I let Annie walk in first being a gentleman, it's the least I can do for everything I've said to her in the past.

I walked in and saw one bed. My jaw dropped. I looked over at Annie and she was wide eyed. "It's probably just a mistake." I reassure her.

She nods her head and sits on the bed while I call the front desk. "Hello this is front desk, how may I help you?" I lady asked.

"There's only one bed in our room" I say to her, I tell her my information and she looks it up in the reservations list. "You guys have the correct room, I'm sorry there's nothing I can do" she says. "Okay" I say and hang up.

"There's nothing they can do" I say to Annie sitting across from her. I wanted to be ready to listen, I wanted her to trust me again.

Annie whipped out her phone and started typing. I watched her type the sentence she was trying to communicate. "Do you wanna order room service" she types and shows me.

I nod my head and pick up the phone. "What do you want?" I ask looking straight into her chocolaty brown eyes. She holds up the number six with her fingers, and I nod.

I looked at number six on the menu, Annie wanted fries and a drink, that seemed good so I ordered that too.

As I was ordering Annie looked at me to make sure I got the right order. She nodded when it was confirmed that room service was coming with our food.

"Can I have your number so you can just text me, instead of having to show me your phone?" I ask in all seriousness.
She thought for a second before nodding.

She typed it out and I copied it into my phone, "thanks" I say and she smiled. Her smile was pretty, her teeth were whiter than pearls and her eyes shined like- hold the freaking phone. Why the hell would I be thinking about this.

The food finally arrived after about half an hour. "Here you go" I said passing Annie her food. She smiled again sending chills down my spine.

I needed to tell her the real reason I said those things to her in the past. My friends pressured me to say it. They made bets with me, they would pay me to say it.

"Annie, I- I gotta tell you the real reason why I said those things" she looked at me confused. "My friends, they would pay me if I did" she looked confused once again. "I was a coward, so I couldn't deny them because I would loose my popularity."

Annie quickly took out her phone and my phone buzzed. "Thank you for admitting what you did, I never imagined that was the reason, I've gone through almost every scenario in my head, but bribery never crossed my mind."

I read her words carefully making sure I don't miss a word she wrote. She did something unexpected. She hugged me.

Now I felt really bad. She was a sweet soul and I totally ruined her. She let go and ate the rest of her fries peacefully sitting criss cross apple sauce.

This was weird, why I'm I paying so much attention to her movements, is it because I can't hear her voice, so I have no choice but to focus on something else.

"Ugh I have a headache" I say placing a hand on my head. This probably came with to much thinking. My phone buzzed again. "Why don't you take I nap" Annie sent. "Yeah, I'm gonna lay down for a bit" I say getting into bed.

Then something clicked in my head, "oh my god, we gonna be hella jet lagged" I say making Annie laugh. "You can laugh" I say kind of surprised. That made Annie laugh even harder making me smile.

I got another text from her. "Remember I can talk, I just choose not to" I read. "Do you talk to your family?" I asked her. She shook her head no. She didn't seem sad about it though.

"Do you wish you wanted to talk?" I asked. She pulled out her phone and began typing. I got a text and it read "no, because people are annoying and when they realize that I can't talk, they don't bother me"

"That's low key smart though" I thought.
"I'm really tired and I want to go to bed, but it's only seven, and I'll end up waking up at like three in the morning" I complained.

Annie types on her phone and sends another text. "Iceland has a six hour time difference, it's actually one in the morning" Annie said. "Oh, so I can go to bed?" I asked. She nodded.
