*𝐒𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐧*

(It's mostly going to be Annie's POV from now on just cause the vulnerability of her character makes it easier to write, but I'll do Ashers POV every once in a while)

         The brightness of the sun had awoken me. I shined brightly in my eyes. Asher was snuggled up into me and he was breathing heavily on my neck.

My phone buzzed, I reached over to the nightstand and grabbed my phone, looking at the notification. "We will not be participating in today's activities due to unsafe weather conditions, this might include power outages, so please be mindful. Sorry for the inconvenience-Mrs.Henry"

This made me quite excited, I didn't really feel like going snow shoeing anyways. "Hey Ash, wake up" I say lightly running my nails up and down his back.

"Mhm"he responded, his head still in the crook of my neck, "the activities are canceled today" I say to him. "Really?" He said is a cute tone. "Yeah" I said sweetly.

He lifted his head up and looked me in the eyes. His hair was messy, his face was flushed and he was adorable. "Your so flushed" I said giggling. Asher squished my cheeks.

I he smiled his award winning smile. "So what are we doing today" Asher asked, his face was just inches from mine. "It's up to you" I say caressing his cheek. "Can we just lay here and eat." Asher said laying his head back down.

"You look very sleepy" I said looking down at him. He looked up and kissed me, kind of taking me by surprise, but I guess I could get used to it, his hands were tangled in my hair but he was gentle, he didn't push anything on me.

"Sorry, I'm just not used to that" I said blushing. "I should have warned you before I just went in" he said looking sad. "No,no,no, that's not what I meant, Asher keep doing what your doing, it'll just take me a sec" I say.

"Okay" he says before kissing me again. I got up to grab the phone so I could order breakfast. "No, come back" Asher said reaching for me. "I'm calling for breakfast" I said.

I picked up the phone looking at the menu. While the phone was ringing I saw Asher get out of bed and come over to me. He gave me a hug from behind and rested his chin on my shoulder.

We got two orders of eggs benedict as per request of Asher. "There we go, our food should be here in about twenty five minutes." I said turning around and hugging him from the front.

Asher kissed my forehead and cupped my cheeks making me look up at him. "I'm gonna warn you so you don't jump and freak out, I'm going to kiss you in like three seconds" he said making me laugh.

Three two one, his lips softly collided with mine, just for a short second, before he pulled away. I don't know what his deal is with my cheeks, but it's like they have a negative charge and his lips have a positive one and the law of electric charges is opposites attract.

"Okay, okay" I say after he kissed my cheeks like thirty times each, "sorry, your just so cute" he says. "How did this happen?" I asked him honestly. "I don't know" he said knowing exactly what I was talking about.

"You went from being my bully to my favourite person" I remarked. "I'm your favourite person?" He asked with a light smile on his face.

"Yeah" I said simply hugging him. "I'm excited for this trip to be over, I love being with you but I'm worried about my mom" he says. "I know, it's okay, do you want to call her" I asked praying that this wouldn't spike another panic attack.

"Yeah" he says going over to his phone. He shakily pressed his moms contact. And pressed speaker.The phone rung for a few seconds before someone answered. "Hey mom, how is everything?" He asked with a slight cross in his fingers.

"Everything's good sweetheart, I'm going to be staying at grandmas house for a bit" she said, me staying silent. "Oh, why" Asher asked, a look of panic on his face.

"Honey, dad left" she said shockingly. "He-he did?" Asher said excitedly. "Yes honey" she said still upset. "Where did he go?" Asher asked. "He didn't say, but he's not coming back" she said crying. "Mom, it's okay, I'll be home soon" he says reassuring her.

"Okay, have a great time" she says. After she hung up, Asher had a look of relief on his face.

We heard a knock at the door and I jump up to answer it. I run over to the door and open it to see Emily, she was crying. "Emily? Are you okay?" I asked as she fell into my arms. "Asher" I yelled.

Asher came sprinting over. "Emily what's wrong?" Asher said worried. "My-my dad is back" she said frantically. "What do you mean" he came back from his new family" she said taking us all by surprise.

"What do you mean by new family?" Asher asked getting suspicious. " My dad had gone on what we thought were business trips, he would go for weeks at a time, and I thought it was for business."

The puzzle pieces were starting to fit together. "When I turned eight, we moved to LA,my dad was really against it, but it turns out it was because that's where he was having an affair."

I was shocked. "My mom found out and she was devastated, not long after, my mom kicked him out, and he went to live full time with his other family, but his other family kicked him out, and now he's back with us."

The look on Ashers face was the look of realization and fright. "We have the same dad" Asher blurted out. "Here I'll show you a picture, the other family he had was mine, he's abused me for years" he said grabbing his phone and scrolling through the pictures.

"Here, is that your dad?" He asked shoving the phone in Emily's face. "Yes, that is my father. She said shakily. "This is so messed up" Asher said. "We need to stop him" I say making there heads turn.

"Look, I've been silent for years, and when your silent, you observe, I'm good at this stuff, I'm going to stop him, we're going to stop him"
