"Ow fuck!" I said while grasping my head. My whole body flinched as I looked upon my hand and saw my own blood. Everything then rushed back into my head, the car chase with Vincent... and Adam.

"Adam!" I said while beginning to panic cause I didn't know if Adam was okay from the crash. I looked to my side and saw that Adam seemed unconscious, his face was head-planted into the steering wheel and I saw blood dripping down the side of his face. "Adam! Adam wake up!" I said while roughly shaking his shoulders. "Adam pleas-" I said until I heard a loud noise approaching.

I looked back and was blinded by the headlights from Vincent's car coming closer, and that's when I knew I had to get out of here. The pain that was urging from my head was nonstop as I struggled to get the seat belt off of me. I heard the engine of Vincent's car turn off and that made me move faster. I looked back at Adam one last time hoping he'd wake up and this would all be over... But that didn't happen. I noticed Adam's gun in his pocket, quickly snatched it, and jumped out of the now crashed truck.

I looked back and saw Vincent step out of his truck with a huge sinister grin on his face.

I looked around and we were at a dead end completely surrounded by tall corn field. I knew Vincent was cockily smirking cause he thinks he has me trapped and that this is the final showdown between me and him... But I'm not gonna make it so easy for him, so I ran into the corn field trying to lose his trail on me.

I ran as fast as I could and I could hear rampant footsteps behind me too.

I took random turns here and there hoping I'd lose him... All I knew was to keep running and running for my life.

I stopped running until I didn't hear his footsteps behind me anymore.

I stopped and looked around feeling confused. Did I really lose him? I didn't hear him behind me anymore.

I smelled an odd smell. "Is that smoke?" I said to myself. I looked up and saw a small fog of black smoke. "What?" I said to myself, how can there be a random fire? Just as I was wondering, the fire grew more and the crops around me set ablaze. I snapped out of my thoughts and began running as fast as I could away from the fire that was catching up to me.

"Ah!" I yelled as I tripped over a large rock and the flames quickly surrounded me. "Fuck!" I yelled as I ran through crops that were burning. The sleeve of my sweater caught on fire and I fell to the floor panicking to put out the fire on me. "Arghh!" I yelled in pain trying to take my sweater off. I threw my sweater as far as I could and I stumbled to get up and keep running from the fire.

I didn't know what to do but to keep running straight, and I was exhausted pushing crops out of my way, heat of the flames seeping into my head, and forcing my legs to go forward.

As I kept going forward, I realized there were no more crops and I was now on a dirt road similar to the one we were driving on before.

I fell onto the ground and laid on my back as I looked at the black fog of smoke fill the night sky. I was feeling lightheaded, I didn't know if it was from the car crash, all the running, or from the fumes but I knew I wasn't feeling right. Was I dying? I thought to myself.

I heard slow heavy footsteps come near me and a sudden rush of energy came to me and I instantly stood up to face whatever was approaching me.

"I thought starting a fire would weed you out of the corn field and look it worked!" Vincent said while laughing to himself. "You started the fire?" I said. "Of course!" said Vincent proudly. "I'll burn this whole fucker to the ground!" Vincent said laughing uncontrollably. "You've gone crazy." I said. "Me crazy? You're the one from the crazy family filled with greed and lust for power!" Vincent said and I realized that Vincent has completely transformed into somebody else, his want for revenge for his father has gone to his head.
