"Honey are you sure you want to come with us?" My mom asked while putting on her black coat. I nodded my head in response. "Well then go put a sweater on it'll be windy." She said. I turned to my room to change into a black oversized hoodie.

My door was open so when I was just about to exit my room I saw Adam pass by. He saw me too and gave me half a smile then it quickly faded when he continued to walk down the hallway.

Right now everyone was in a serious mood because of the news that an employee of Carter Industries, my father's company, was attacked.

"Is everyone ready?" My aunt had asked while I slowly walked down the stairs.

We pulled up towards the location where the attack had occurred. During the limo ride no one had spoken a word.

"Oh my gosh..." Said my mother. I looked over to her and she was looking out the window. "This happened at a cemetery?" She looked over to my aunt and my auntgave her a silent nod and said, "She was visiting her husband's grave when the attack occurred."

The limo stopped and our doors were opened for us.

I stepped outside and looked around. My mother was indeed correct, we were surrounded by gravestones.

A couple police officers came up to us to summarize the attack.

Apparently this woman was at the bottom of the food chain working for my father since she was just the front desk receptionist.

"Why would they target someone like her?" I said silently to myself.

One of the police officers lead us over to where the actual crime scene was. He grabbed the caution tape that surrounded the crime scene and lifted it up so the four of us can enter.

I braced myself and hardened my stomach just in case I'm prepared for whatever I see.

I stepped a little forward and felt a hand at my shoulder.

"You don't have to look if you want." Adam said giving me a worried look. I gave him a small smile and continued to walk forward.

My mother walked alongside me and grabbed my hand. We came across the body.

I definitely assumed there'd be blood and guts everywhere, but this wasn't the case. The woman's body was laying on the ground peacefully. But what struck me as odd was the purple ink everywhere. Yeah, purple ink. The woman was laying in a pool of purple ink, and some of this purple ink was even splattered on some of the tombstones. It looked like a purple spray can had just blown up.

"This was definitely, the Jester gang's doing. Their signature color is purple, Christ even their hairstyles are dyed purple! " I heard my aunt angrily say to one of the detectives. "That's what I was thinking too, I just needed you to confirm my suspicions, since you know... you deal with these thugs on a daily." The detective said writing in his notepad.

"This dead woman right here just adds another body count to the number of lives lost already at the hands of these savages... I expect you to do something this time." My aunt said putting her sunglasses on. "We're doing the best we can." He responded.

"She had a family... children." I heard my mother who was still standing next to me say. "For god's sake she was a mother." My mom said while her eyes turned red. "Did you know her, mom?" I asked. "Yes, she was the front desk receptionist so you could never miss her whenever you walked into your father's building... S-She was so terribly nice... She always asked for my advice on how to raise children..." My mom said wiping a tear. I let go of my mother's hand and rubbed her back.
