Adam P.O.V
"ADAM! ADAM!" I heard Mrs. Carter scream out from downstairs. I dropped everything I was doing and ran towards the voice.
I entered the room and my attention immediately went to Mrs. Carter who was on the floor struggling to get up. I quickly helped her up to her feet and noticed the terrified look on her face. "What happened?!" I eagerly said waiting for her response. "H-He took E-Evan!" Mrs. Carter said while with tears streaming on her face. I felt heat starting to arise to my face and I became furious. "What do you mean took Evan?! Who?!" I said practically yelling to Mrs. Carter. Her sobbing was preventing her from saying anything and I shook her roughly to get her out of her trance. "I-I don't know! S-Some man with silver hair!" Mrs. Carter said and I instantly knew who she was talking about. I remember Evan telling me about this guy in his class with dark silver hair who he thought was a part of the Jester gang, Evan always mentioned how he didn't trust him.
I heard a car speeding off from outside the window and I quickly ran out of the house to go chase the car. The car was already gone by the time I got outside so I pulled out my phone and opened the app that tracked Evan's phone. Hopefully Evan is carrying his phone with him somewhere in his pocket so I can track his location.
"Hurry the fuck up!" I angrily shouted at my smartphone that was slowly tracking Evan's location. Evan's moving location popped up on my phone and I dashed to the nearest vehicle to follow Evan's location.

I drove as fast as possible to reach Evan and I was almost near him. I noticed his location stopped moving so I assume the dude who took him has reached their destination. I gritted my teeth and pressed on the gas pedal so hard that I'm pretty sure this car couldn't handle it. I wouldn't be able to go on if I knew something terrible happened to Evan. My sole duty is to protect Evan and I was failing not only his family but Evan himself. I already let my crew down when they died trying to protect Mr. Carter, I couldn't let my crew down again this time with Evan. My crew... Sudden memories flashed in my mind of that fateful day, the fateful day... vehicle's speeding, Jester gang members tailing us, bullets... lots of bullets, crying voices over the microphone, my comrades dying words.
I shook my head and tightened my grip on the steering wheel... Not again am I gonna let that happen, this time they're the dead ones.
I pulled up to what seems an abandoned warehouse in the middle of a cornfield, I understand why they'd choose a location like this, the warehouse is in the middle of a corn maze which means anyone would get lost in the tall stocks of corn.
I took a sharp turn and pressed on the brakes, I was driving so fast that when I braked I almost launched from my seat. I saw that there was only one gang member outside guarding the whole building and he looked like he wasn't suspecting anyone because when he saw me step out of the car he had a surprised look on his face and fumbled to grab his weapon. "Boss!" the puny gang member frantically called out. While the Jester member wasted time by picking up and readying his weapon, I swiftly whipped out my pistol and shot him in the shoulder. The Jester yelped and fell to the floor, it wasn't my first time shooting someone so I ignored the Jester's cry for help and I ran into the warehouse.
I pushed the heavy steel doors open and I saw Evan in the center tied to a chair. "Adam!" I heard Evan cry out. Before I can shoot the guy in front of Evan, he retreated behind Evan and held his gun to Evan's head.
"One more step and I'll shoot Evan's brains out!" The silver haired figure said and pushed the gun roughly to the side of Evan's head.
"Shit." I muttered under my breath not knowing what to do. If I shoot the guy he's gonna shoot Evan and that's the end for Evan. If I drop my weapon then the guy is just gonna shoot me and that's the end for me and Evan. I looked over to see who was standing next to the silver dude and it was Evan's friend Scott.
"Traitor!" I said directly to Scott and I shifted my gun to aim at Scott. Scott raised his arms out. "Shoot me or him and Evan's done for, drop your weapon!" The guy holding the gun to Evan's head said. I still was unsure of what move to make. I looked into Evan's eyes and his whole expression screamed of fear. His face was bloody and sweaty, his body was shaking, and there was an open wound on his chest. I became furious again and I was determined to not put my weapon down. There's no way I'd let them get away with hurting my Evan!
"A-Adam j-just please l-leave me here." Evan softly spoke stuttering his words. I looked at Evan and he still looked terrified. "No way Evan I'm not gonna-" My words were interrupted when the silver man aimed the gun from Evan towards me and pulled the trigger. I can tell he missed me on purpose in order to intimidate me into leaving. "I suggest you listen to the boy." He said smirking at me. This pissed me off even more but before I made a move back, Scott suddenly moved and tackled the silver figure down. I took this opportunity to run to Evan and untie him. I quickly grabbed my dagger that was hanging from my belt and I went to town on the rope that suppressed Evan. While doing this I heard the struggling grunts coming from Scott and the dude as they both fought each other.
I finally freed Evan and threw him over my shoulder making a run for it towards the exit. "Wait A-Adam we can't just leave Scott!" Evan protested as we made our way outside. I couldn't argue with Evan right now, at this point my only concern was for Evan's safety and not the safety of some Jester even if that Jester was Evan's friend. "I'm sorry Evan." I said to him as I threw him into the car seat. "Adam please!" Evan cried out from the car. His plead impacted me so I gave him a long stare then made my way back to the warehouse, I knew Evan cared for Scott and if it was Evan's wishes for me to save him then I'll do so. I'll do anything for Evan.
I was about to enter the warehouse again to go get Scott, but then I heard gunshots. "Fuck!" I screamed out of frustration since I knew gunshots meant one of them must have won the fight already... there was nothing I can do at this point and I was frustrated I couldn't save Scott for Evan. I ran back to the vehicle Evan was in and quickly started the engine. "Those were gunshots! I couldn't go back in there, one of them is down already let's just hope it isn't Scott." I said to assure Evan. I swerved the car to go back on the one-path road. Evan turned around in his seat to see the warehouse behind. "O-Oh-no..." I heard Evan mutter. I looked to the side mirror on the car and saw the silver haired guy following us. He wasn't too close to us but he was on track. It'd be impossible to lose him since this is only a one path road which was also surrounded by a corn field... There were no turns or tricks I could pull that would lose his follow on us.
Suddenly a bullet hit the side mirror I was looking at. "Vincent's shooting at us!" Evan said in a panic. "Put your head down!" I yelled to Evan and he did so. Fuck if this Vincent guy manages to shoot out our tires the car is gonna be useless. I looked ahead at the dirt road and I noticed I can take a turn or keep going straight ahead. Maybe if I take that turn that'll throw him off somehow? I took a sharp turn and I turned around in my seat to look behind to see if Vincent was still tailing us and he was to which I was not surprised that he was. "Adam the road!" Evan yelled out and when I looked back to the road it was a dead end with a thick pole straight in the middle. "OH SHIT!" I screamed and I tried to brake but at the speed we were going the car already made impact with the pole. My head made impact with the car and everything went black.
