Chapter Seven: Leo

I took a deep breath as I stood up. I walked the distance from my bed to the door. I placed my hand on the knob. Is this really a door I want to open I asked myself. I turned the knob slowly and opened the door. She was leaning against it so when I opened it She fell inside landing on her back.  "Just beacuse we share things does not make us friends." I said looking down at her as she rolled over to stand up.

"No you don't want to be friends there a difference." She said rubbing her back. "That maybe true sol but one day you'll understand why I push people away why I can't get close." I said stepping out in to the hall, and pulling my door closed. "Why Leo?" She asked looking st me with a pair of big blue sad eyes. "You've seen what happened to Demetri right? Well that right there should answer your question sol." I turned then walked away leaving her there in the hall. I made it no father than two doors down before small arms wrapped around me. She would never understand unless I showed her how bad of a guy I could be. I had to show her the monster I really am.

I turned quickly wrapping my hand around her throat and slammed her into the wall. I showed her my blood stained fangs. "You see what I am a monster one you should not dare get close to." I yelled at her. She just looked me straight in the eyes. "We all have demons Leo." She huffed. "These demons what I have will only have you ending up dead in my arms." With that I let her go and stormed off.

I went in search of Vireo and I knew just where to find her. I knocked on the door to her study. "Come in her voice answered. I stepped inside the room. She sat there at her desk, files in her hands. "I need back my collar." I said sternly. She looked up at me will her white eyes. "I do not have it Demetri does." She answered casually. "Liar." I growled. "No, I'm not lying he has it and won't give it back I believe he plans on melting it." She continued. "Besides you need to learn control for yourself not from a collar." I kicked the wall. "I can't!" I shouted as I stared her down. "You can choose too you just don't. You let it control you." She spoke again not raising her voice or looking away from me She truly had nothing to fear. "You don't understand that girl. . .sol She." Vi held up her hand."that girl is a master of beasts  not your kind but she may just as well be. She will be your master Leonardo." She said as she stood up. "What?" I said shocked and confused." Demetri smelled it on her she is different than most humans."

Demetri I thought."how is he?" I wanted to change the topic. "He is fine you should have a talk with him." She said as she walked over to her filing cabinet and stored the files away. "I will." I said turning and walking out of her office.

I headed over to see Demetri. I thought of him being in the clinic but his scent lead to his room. I knocked on his door to announce that I was coming in. His room was full of life. It bothered me He had photos on his walls and a shelf full of books all kinds. His bed was made and the curtains were drawn back revealing the view of the woods. "I'm in here Leo.' His accent was thick his home land was in Russia somewhere. I walked over to the bathroom to see him standing shirtless as he shaved.

"So umm masters have a scent?" I asked not really sure how I was meant to so I blurted it out. He nodded and looked at me. "You would know if you wouldn't shut people out." He said as I rocked back and forth on my feet. "So sol is said to be my master?" I sighed." Am I meant to let her in?" I asked questions hoping to get a straight forward answer.

He washed his face and dried it with a towel.  He looked at me towering over me. I was tall for my age but he, he was huge not only in height either. Demetri was built like a rock. He was strong and tough that is why my beast feared his beast demetri's beast showed dominance.  "Leo You should let her in if you truly wished to be saved." He answered. Do I really wish to be saved, to be mastered? I asked myself. I've been this monster for so long am I truly ready to be saved? Will she save me from my past? Will this girl, sol be my future?  "Go now beast and talk to her and see her for what she truly is." Demetri's voice snapped me back to reality. "Yeah Yeah I'll go do that." I said walking away I guess I'll have to find out by opening up to her if she stayed that is.
