A New Beginning

High School

That's it. Today I am going to school, and lots of emotions are running through my body.

Lots of questions , like "Will I see that boy again?" or "Will I have any friends?" and, of course, the answers to this, were making me go crazy.

So, I woke up, I made a shower and then my mom made breakfast for me. She already left when I got downstairs. I ate her tasty pancakes and drank some milk and then I left to my new school.

When I arrived in front of the school, I was very surprised. It was huge, even bigger than my last school in California. I really wasn't expecting it!

While I was walking inside the building, lots of teens, were staring at me like I was a monster. I got uncomfortable, so I hurried up. I hated their looks, their faces, I was ready for everything, I was feeling confident.

When I entered the big hall, I hit a girl, a pretty girl, actually. I've never felt more miserable. I quickly apologized and helped her get up.

"Sorry"! I said feeling very ashamed of my act.
"Oh, no problem!" she said while looking at me very strange.

I felt a little bit of joy inside me, appearently she wasn't that kind of spoiled child that I was expecting to meet.

I looked at her,she was gorgeous. She wasn't very tall, but she had amazing green emerald eyes, brown hair, and a cute button nose.

"Hi, my name is Selene" she said as she reached out to greet me.
"Oh, I am Jack!" I said kinda shy, looking down at the ground.

"You are nice, Jack!" she said, with a big smile one her lips.
"Thank you so much, Selene!" I said kinda happy, but curious at the same time.

"You must be new here,right? I have never seen you before!" she asked me with a smile on her face.
"Yes, truly, I am new here, I arrived yesterday!" I said, a little bit sad looking again at the ground.

"So, I guess that you do not really have any friends,right?" she asked pretty confident.
"No, I don't have any friends, no one appears to like me!" I said with a sad face and a shy voice.

"Don't be sad, please. When you will meet my friends, I am sure that they will like you!" she said with a spark in her green emerald eyes.
"But why would you do that? We don't even know each other!" I said while I was looking at her.

"Now we do, now we are friends, aren't we?" she asked me happily.
"Are we?.Yes, of course, I would like to be your friend!" I said very happy.

"Great, then, see you after classes then! Look, I am not one of the gossip girls, so try to stay away from Zara and her friends, Anny and Stella! Every person in this high school is trash for them. Be careful! Oh, and bye, see ya!" she said, like a warning, like she has already experienced that before, like she knew!

After the talk with Selene, I understood that I have to stay away from the gossip girls, so I took my books and attended to my first class, Math! I love math, is one of my favorite subjects, so I couldn't wait to see my professor.

I quickly entered the classroom, apparently, the class was full. I saw each and everyone of my classmates, and then it hit me. "IT WAS HIM! THE MYSTERY BOY, THE ONE THAT HELPED ME!" No, no, no! Even if I wanted to meet him, I was kinda scared, something was strange with him, I knew it!

He looked very normal today with his friends and our classmates, but I couldn't just ignore the fact that he was the strangest guy I have ever seen in my whole life, yesterday was...too much for me to understand anymore. But I was still curious.

While I was thinking of different things and my problems, the professor entered the classroom.

"Morning! Class, this is our new colleague, Jaqueline Brown! She will join us from now on!" said my professor while inviting me in front of the class.

He was pretty great. He wasn't very old, around 50, I think. I hope that we will have a great connection!

"Hello, class! As Proffesor Bennett said, My name is Jaqueline, but everyone calls me Jack!" I said very shy, feeling like I had no more breath.

Everyone was looking at me like I said something bad, wrong and then, suddenly someone shouted at me from the back of the class.
"JACK AS THE BOYS?! NOW I AM SURE THAT YOU TRULY ARE TRASH!!" a girl shouted.

I felt miserable. Why was she like that? Just Why?.

While I was standing there, in front of the class, feeling their...their cold eyes on me, like I was on their territory, an intruder, TRASH. The same boy that helped me then with the attack, stood up in front of the class and said "HEY ZARA, JEALOUSY IS A DISEASE. GET WELL SOON!".

Everyone started to laugh even harder than ever. And the professor said very angry
"ZARA, COLE DETENTION FOR BOTH OF YOU TODAY AFTER CLASSES!"

I was frozen, standing there and thinking "Why did he defend me? He doesn't even know me!" But I had more questions to ask him, to ask Cole, that is his name apparently.

I just continued to stay, I didn't know what to do. Ughhhh! So awkward!! But, finally, Professor Bennett said "Jack, please, sit there next to Mr.White!".

I quickly sat and listened to our lesson! It was perfect for now, of course, without "THE ZARA INCIDENT".

So, apparently Mr.White is Cole. I...I was sitting next to Cole...White, the same strange guy that helped me. But, his eyes are blue, HOW? He is hiding something, but what? I will find out about his secret!

So I attended our math class, I loved it. Of course the day has been very full, classes after classes, hours after hours. I felt very tired after school, so I decided to go home, for sure.

On my way out of the building I met again Selene! We talked and she invited me to a strange bar in town named No Mercy! Yea, I know, no one normal would go there, but I will. I am just trying to fit in. I told Selene that I will come with her. Maybe this place won't be as bad as I think,right?

On my way home, I was thinking of all the things that happened today. I was tired, but my questions wouldn't go away! Ughhhh! I need a break!

Today I was saved once again by Cole...Cole the mystery guy! And Zara is truly bad, I know that she will make my life miserable some times, but I will manage to get through it. I am JACK damn BROWN, I know how to manage with bullies. It's not worse than what I have already experienced.

I arrived home. My mom waited for me, asked me about today. I told her everything about Selene, Zara, but not Cole, I will never tell her, she will freak out, I am sure of that!

We ate something, talked and after this, I took a hot shower just to feel free, better, to clear my mind.

I wrote everything in my diary and fell asleep. I did it, I have a friend. I hope Selene likes me too.

Tomorrow will be a long long day.

And I will get through it!
