A New Beginning

The Creature

Tuesday morning. Another day full of mystery. Gosh!
Like always I woke up, made a shower and got ready for school. My mom wasn't home, I was alone again, this time for a whole week. While I was looking for some food, I got a call. It was Selene.
"Hey, gurll! How are ya?" Selene asked me.
"Hey, I am Okay! What happened?" I asked her.
"Well, I am not sure if you know that today and the rest of the week we don't have school!" Selene answered.
"What? Why? What happened?" I asked.
"An attack! Marcus Kennedy is in the hospital. Someone tried to kill him!" Selene said.
"What? For real? But Why?" I asked.
"I don't know, but his skin was bit, he was bleeding very heavily!" Selene said.
"Oh, no! Wow! Poor guy! I feel sorry for him, but I have to go!" I said.
"Ok, Jack! Take care!" Selene said and then hang up the call.
I knew where I had to go. I had to go see Michael. Something was wrong and I had the feeling that he might know what actually happened.
I got to the hospital. I was lucky, it wasn't the same receptionist.
"Hello, miss! I would like to visit Michael Palker, please!" I said.
"Um, are you family? I cannot let you in if you ain't family!" she said.
"But you let me in before!" I said.
"Yes, before a young man came here and threatened Mr.Palker!" she said.
"Umm...when did this happen?" I asked.
"Yesterday morning!" she said.
"How did that guy look like?" I asked.
"Umm...he was a young tall boy with brown hair! That's all I know. He was very handsome!" she answered.
Of course I knew who he was. Brown hair and tall. I had two options, Cole or Liam. Which one of them was here and threatened Michael? I mean Cole didn't know he even existed. Was it Liam? I dunno, but now I have to see Michael.
"Thank you! But can I see Mr.Palker? Pls!" I said.
"I'm sorry, if you are not family I cannot let you in!" she said.
"I am not exactly family, but I am his girlfriend! Please, let me in!" I said.
"I am sorry! I can't!" she said.
Perfect! She won't let me in. What should I do now? She doesn't believe my lies. Ufff! Wait...I have an idea, I will sneak in! It was the best plan! So, when no one was looking I sneaked inside Michael's room. I entered the room and closed the door.
"Umm...Jack! How did you get here?" Michael asked me.
"Shh...I sneaked in! No one knows that I am here!" I answered.
"Oh, okay, SILANCER!" Michael said and then laughed.
"Shhh!" I said.
"Okay! So what happened?" he asked me.
"Are you Okay?" I asked him.
"Yes! Why wouldn't I be?" he asked me.
"Um...at school an accident happened!" I said.
"What? What do you mean by that?" he asked me.
"Marcus Kennedy is in this hospital and he is very hurt! He had multiple bite marks on his body!" I said.
"Oh, gosh! Do the policeman know who did this?" he asked.
"No! They don't have any idea!" I said.
While we were talking, someone shouted.
"THE YOUNG LADY SNEAKED INSIDE THE HOSPITAL! GET THE SECURITY HERE" a nurse shouted.
"I guess they found out! I have to go!" I said to Michael.
"Wait! Here is my phone number! Call me later if you need any answers! Be careful!" he said.
"Thank you a lot!" I said and then I ran.
I got out of Michael's room.
"THERE SHE IS! GET HER OUT!" a security guard said.
I guess that they knew my real name now.
So I ran, but they got me.
"Hello, Jaqueline! Can we help you?" a security guard asked me ironically.
"Let me go! Now!" I said.
"No! You will come and you will tell us what you were doing there!" he said.
"No! I wasn't doing something important! Let me go!" I said.
"No!" the security guard said.
"Yes! You will!" I said and then I screamed.
He dropped me from his big hands, because of my scream and I ran as fast as I could.
"You were lucky that you have that disease, young lady!" he shouted at me while I was running.
It was not a disease. It was my power, I am supernatural, I am powerful when I want to be. Sometimes I wonder if there are any other people with special abilities or supernatural powers like me. Maybe there are, but who?
I escaped again using my power, my scream. Gosh! It feels so good! And I also had Michael's number. Perfect! Now I can ask him a lot more questions. Awesome.
I decided to go home. The hospital wasn't very far from my house. There were only 4 km. So, while I was walking home someone joined by my side.
"Hello, Beautiful!" he said.
"Moon Jr, hiii!" I said.
"Jaqueline, you know that you can call me Liam, right?" he said.
"Umm...yes! Liam! And you also know that you can call me Jack! Right?" I said.
"Yes, Jack! So what are you doing here? In the forest alone?" he asked me.
"Umm...I am going home!" I answered.
"You are so shy around me sometimes! Why?" he asked me.
"I am not! Trust me!" I said.
"Okay, then! So are you going home alone through the forest?" he asked me.
"Yes! Is the fastest way for me to get home!" I said.
"Well, I am coming with you!" he said.
"Okayy!" I said.
So, we walked. Moon...Sorry, Liam was so handsome as well. He was tall, maybe a little bit taller than Cole. He had deep blue eyes, brown chestnut hair and he was mysterious as well. But he had something that no one had. He was very confident in everything he that he was doing and he never opened up. He was something else. Cole and Liam were different, two opposites attracted to the same person. ME!
"So, what are you doing here?" I asked him.
"Just walking from the bar!" he answered.
While we were talking I heard something strange, like someone was following us.
"Get down, Jack! Now!" he said.
I got down very fast. Liam was next to me, protecting me.
"What happened?" I asked.
"Shhh!" Liam said.
While Liam was protecting me on the ground, a creature showed up. It was ugly and disgusting, it was brown, it's head was like a skull and some horns were coming out from it's head. It's mouth was full of blood. But, something was stranger than everything...he had human body covered in fur.

I looked at Liam, he was staying on the ground, protecting me. Suddenly, the creature came right next to us. It was looking at us. Mostly he was looking at Liam and Liam was looking at it, then he stood up.
"Yes! You know what am I, you are not wrong! You know that I can kill you! This is my home and, if you ever get on my territory again, I will make sure you are dead!" Liam said.
What? Was he talking to the monster? To the creature? And what is he? More important, what is he doing?
The creature was looking at Liam like it wanted to kill him, eat him. But, for our luck, it didn't. He stared at me too for a few moments and then it ROARED very loud. Then the creature vanished.
"Liam, what was that?" I asked scared.
"I don't know! Let's get you home!" Liam said.
I didn't ask any more questions.
I got home.
"Thank you, Liam!" I said.
"Please, don't be scared! That creature left, ok?" he said.
"Yes! I will try!" I said.
"Ok, Beautiful! Good night!" Liam said and then he left.
Of course that I was scared, very scared. But that creature left. I trust Liam. I do.
So, I made a shower and then fell asleep.

After I left Jack at her house, I quickly got back to the bar.
"Father! Where is my father!" I said.
"There! In the back!" Fang said.
"Thank you!" I said.
"Son! Where have you been?" my father asked me.
"Father, they are here! THE WENDIGOS ARE HERE!" I shouted.
