A New Beginning

The Change

Monday morning. Finally, a normal day for me. After a week I have school. As always I woke up, I was very happy because my mother was home, she was finally home, after all this time, she was here.
I quickly got out of my bed, brushed my teeth, got dressed and got downstairs. My mother was waiting for me, she made breakfast, I missed this.
"Mom! Wow, thank you so much!" I said and I hugged her.
"Of course, honey! I missed you, I missed this!" my mother said while she was hugging me as well.
"I am starving!" I said and then I sat down and started to eat.
"Me too! Let's eat fast, we both are late for 'work'!" my mother said and then she started to eat.
We had a lot of fun together, we laughed, we talked. It was perfect. After our breakfast, my mother brought me at school.
"Okay! Thank you mom!" I said.
"Of course! Are you coming home alone or do you want me to pick you up?" my mother asked me.
"No, it's okay! Cole will give me a ride home!" I said.
"And who is this COLE?" my mother said with a grin on her face.
"Bye mom!" I said and then I started to laugh.
"Bye Honey!" my mother and then she left.
Finally, my life was normal...my mom was back, so was the school. I felt great!
While I was walking on my way to the entrance of the school, someone joined by my side.
"Hey you! What's up?" he asked me.
"Cole, Hey! I am fine, u?" I asked him.
"I am okay! I just wanted to ask you something!" Cole said.
"Oh, what?" I asked.
"Well, you know...when did Liam become so popular?" Cole asked.
"Um, I don't know!" I said.
"When I entered the school, he was hanging out with Zack!" Cole said.
"Strange! No one liked him THAT much!" I said.
"Well...what class do you have, then?" Cole asked me.
"English!" I said.
"Oh, dang it! I have Geography!" Cole said.
"Maybe I can talk to Liam and ask him about this!" I said.
"Yes! Good idea!" Cole said.
The bell rang and I was going to my class. What happened to Liam? He was the one that told us all not to talk to Zack and be careful around him! Strange, very strange!
I quickly entered the class room, Liam was laughing with Zack. I quickly got to my place, next to Liam.
"Hi! What's up?" I said.
He didn't even look at me. What?
"Hi Liam!" I said again.
He didn't look at me.
"Hello Liam!" I shouted.
He didn't look at me once again. I got angry! What happened to him? What happened to my friend?
I pulled him of his shirt and said.
"You are an idiot! Why are you doing this?"
He looked at me for a few seconds and then he started to laugh with Zack.
"She called me an IDIOT! Hahaha!" he shouted in the whole class.
The sweet, gentleman boy turned into an asshole.
I was mad, very mad. I care about him and he was treating me like a bag of trash. The English class ended really fast, I didn't even notice the time that passed. After the class, I got to my locker. While I was staying there, I saw a girl crying.
"Um...Hello! May I ask you, what happened?" I said.
"Zack and his friends made this! They found a picture with me when I was at a costume party! My costume was lame and now, everyone is laughing at me!" she said.
"I am so sorry! Umm...besides Zack...was there a tall guy with blue eyes?" I asked.
"Yes! He found my picture and showed it to Zack and then, they both laughed at me!" she said.
"Oh, I am so so sorry!" I said before she left.
Liam, what are you doing? Why did he change like that? He changed in a whole different person, his opposite! He was my friend after all!
I need to do something to win him back, to win the old Liam back!
While I was preparing for my next class, I heard a fight. Someone was fighting on the corridors. I heard Zack's voice, he was saying something, but I couldn't hear what exactly. I was scared to see what was happening, but curious at the same time. I quickly got my bag and left straight to the corridors.
When I saw the fight, I got crazy and mad! Liam and Cole were fighting inside of the school. The guys that I shared beautiful moments with were fighting like crazy. I knew that they couldn't stand each other, but they never fought!
I didn't know what to do! How to stop them, how to stop the fight. I was just standing there, wathcing them like an idiot!!
"Zack, you need to stop this, NOW!" I shouted.
"To stop the fight of the year? You crazy or something?" Zack said.
Of course that he didn't want to stop the biggest fight of the year, no one did! I was done watching Cole get beaten by Liam. He was on the ground and Liam,
Iike an animal was punching him over and over again. Cole couldn't do anything, he tried to get up, but Liam was stronger and faster somehow. I couldn't stand it anymore so, I quickly got between them 'STOP NOW!!!!!' .
Liam finally stopped, his eyes had a bluish color, a deep blue color actually. He looked at me, his eyes turned back to their normal color. What the hell?
"Jack...I-I!" Liam tried to say but I wasn't listening to him.
"C-Cole, come on! Get up!" I said.
"Liam, your eyes!" Cole said before I got to help him.
He was hurt, he could barely move. I got him on my back. At this moment it didn't matter that he was taller and heavier than me, I was carrying him, I was trying at least!!
"Thank you Princess!" he said.
"You need to go to the hospital!" I said.
"No, I will be fine! I will go home on my own!" he said.
"Are you crazy or something?" I said.
While I was talking to Cole, Liam came next to me and said.
"Let me help!"
"I think that you helped enough already!" I said.
"Come on, Jack! Let me bring him home!" he said.
"No!" I said.
Quickly, Cole got up.
"My house is not that far away from here, I can make it!" Cole said.
"Are you sure?" I asked him.
"Yes, Princess! It's not like Liam is a Werewolf or something, right? I just got a few punches, that's all!" Cole said and started to laugh.
"Okay then!" I said.
"But, what about you? How will you get home? I was supposed to give you a ride home!" Cole said.
"I will manage! It's okay! All that matters it's you now!" I said.
"Thank you, Princess!" Cole said and hugged me before he left.
Cole left from school and I continued my classes. After school, I took a cab to go home. I was supposed to come home with him, but...yeah!
When I got home, I called Cole.
"Hey! How are you?" I asked him.
"Better! I ate something!" he said.
"Cool! Then I will let you get some sleep!" I said.
"Yes, Okay! See you tomorrow, then, Princess!" Cole said.
"Okay Princess!" I said ironically and closed the phone while I was laughing.
I was mad at Liam for everything that he did today! Why was he doing this? I will ask Cole what that fight was about! And his eyes? What was happening with him? I need to know how to bring Liam back, the Liam we all like and care about!
