A New Beginning

The Full Moon

After that crazy night that I had, my mind was again full of questions. Why did Cole and Diana leave me alone? And why do I think about my powers, about my scream? I keep thinking about some words 'You are very strong, stronger than us all! You are a wailing woman, a Banshee!' But who told me this? Where? I feel so strange. I hope that I will get my answers.
Because I didn't have school today, I overslept for a few hours. I was really tired. When I woke up, I could feel a crushing headache. I quickly got out of my bed to eat something, but what? My mom was still gone. She was supposed to come back Sunday night, I miss her so much!
I wasn't feeling very good and I was all alone so I decided to call Selene. At first, I thought that she will answer, but her phone was dead. After this, I called Cole...he didn't pick up my call either. None of my friends did...neither did Michael or Diana, soo...I called Liam. For my surprise he answered and said.
"Hello Jaqueline! Is something wrong, how are you?"
"Liam, hi! I am fine! I wanted to know about my friends! No one picked up my calls!" I said.
"Oh...I did! The rest of the group may be busy!" Liam said.
"Yes, probably! Um...would you like to come to my place? I am bored and all alone!" I said.
"Well...yes! Do you want me to bring something to eat?" he asked me.
"Um...some Pizza! Let's try with Pepperoni Pizza!" I said.
"Perfect! I will be there!" he said.
After I hung up the call, I felt happy. Someone was coming to stay with me and that someone was Liam.
Finally, he is here. I quickly opened the door and said.
"Did you bring the Pizza?"
"Yes, I did!" Liam said.
He quickly entered the house, took off his leather jacket and got in my kitchen.
"So...wanna eat?" he asked.
"Yess, I am starving...I could eat the whole pizza!" I said.
So, Liam and I started to eat. I was having a lot of fun with him. He was cool and funny outside the bar. He was still hiding something dark, the same thing as Cole or Selene.
After we ate the whole pizza, we chose to watch a movie.
"What about Twilight Saga?" I asked.
"Really? Werewolves and Vampires?" he said.
"Ok, then...let's watch...The Purge!" I said.
"Perfect!" he said.
So, this is what we did. I was feeling amazing, we were lying on the couch, together. We were laughing and having a great time, but that good time passed very fast. Liam got a phone call.
"Ehm...I should really answer!" he said.
"Of course!" I said.
He took his phone and went into the kitchen to talk to someone. He didn't know that I was listening, that I could hear...so I kinda spied on him.
"Yes...hello! What is that important?" he asked.
At first I thought that it was from the bar, but it wasn't.
"No, Selene! I am fine...very fine! Are just a few hours before it, before the Full Moon!" he said.
Selene, why was he talking to Selene? About the Full Moon, it's nonsense!
"Ok, I will stay for one more hour, see ya at the bar! Ok?" he said.
After this he hung up the call and he was coming my way. I quickly, started the movie and acted like I was focused on the actual movie.
"Ok...! It was from the bar!" he said.
"Oh! Something important?" I asked.
"Kinda! I will leave in an hour!" he answered.
So, we stood there, in silance, lying on the couch. Then, suddenly Liam said.
"Oh, Jack! I have to go now!" he said.
"Can I come with you?" I asked.
"Um...it's only the bar! Not that important, really!" he said.
"Okay then!" I said and then I walked him outside.
"Bye Liam! See ya!" I said.
After he left, for a few seconds I stood in front of the door. He was leaving me alone. But, an idea hit me, a stupid idea. 'I should follow him!' So, I got upstairs, got dressed. I knew that he was going to his bar, so I took a cab and went there.
    I got to the bar. It was empty, closed apparently. Only Liam's friends and the workers from the bar were here. But Why did Liam close the bar this soon?
I saw Selene's motorcycle too. I couldn't just go inside, they would have sent me back home...I needed to spy on them...so I did it. I looked up on a window right at them. I could hear what they were talking about.
"Are you sure that this will hold you? You are strong, Selene, and I don't want it to happen like the last time!" Liam said.
Last time...what was this supposed to mean, I don't understand.
"Yes, and that won't happen again! I promise!" Selene said.
"I hope so! You need control and I can't watch you all night...I have my problems too! But, you are always welcomed to spend the Full Moons with us!" Liam said.
What? What was he talking about? Full Moon? This sounded very strange for me. I was still listening to them, but, suddenly Selene saw me.
"Jack? Is that you?" Selene asked.
I couldn't stay in the dark anymore, so I said.
"Hi, guyss! What's up?"
"What are you doing here? Did you follow me?" Liam asked me.
"N-no! Of course not!" I said.
"I will get you home!" Liam said.
While I was talking to Liam, his hands started to shake, he wasn't feeling very well.
"Liam, are you okay?" I asked.
"Yes, let's get you home!" Liam insisted.
"Liam, the Moon is out, you don't have enough time to get back!" Selene whispered.
What was happening? I couldn't understand it.
"Liam, I can go home on my own, trust me!" I said.
"No, Jack! Last time we were attacked!" Liam said.
While Liam was looking at me, his blue eyes turned in a yellow color, and then in a dark sparkling blue. They were beautiful, majestical!
I couldn't look at them that much...Selene took a blanket and covered Liam's face.
"Liam...go in the back!" Selene said.
"What was wrong with his eyes, Selene! Tell me!" I said.
"Nothing Okay!" Selene said.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yes! Really! Now, stay here for a few minutes!" Selene said and then she left the bar.
What was happening? I sat down for a while...like 10 minutes, when a familiar voice said my name.
"Jack? What are you doing here?" he said.
"Michael? What are YOU doing here?" I asked.
"Me? Oh...just passing! I mean, my brother works here, I didn't know that the bar is closed." Michael said.
"Yes! I know, it's kinda strange!" I said.
Quickly, Michael heard something. He checked the back of the bar and said to me.
"Don't freaking move!"
I didn't know what was this about! Then I saw it. It was a wolf. The same wolf that I've seen before...the Werewolf actually. It was very big and strong. His eyes were very blue, like Liam's actually. What? Michael, looked deeply into his eyes.
"It's you! I've met you before, but not like this! The roles have switched now!" Michael said.
What roles? What was he talking about? The big wolf looked at me with his blue eyes. I felt like he knew who I was. I touched him, he licked my hand and, quickly found his way out of the bar. I was shocked for a few moments...he wasn't alone...6 more wolves followed him, he was like an Alpha or something!
What? So...I freaking passed out...again...!
Lately, I found myself at home.
"Hm...hello? Michael?" I said.
"Oh, Jack, you are up!" he said.
"Yes! What happened there, Michael!" I asked.
"Wolves happened!" he answered.
"They were too big to be JUST normal wolves!" I said.
"Not true!" Michael said.
"Okay...whatever!" I said.
I was feeling too tired to ask him more questions.
"I hope that I chose the right pajamas for you!" Michael said.
"Great actually! Great taste, almost as good as mine!" I said.
"Will you be okay, Jack...tonight?" Michael said.
"Yes, I will! Thank you so much!" I said.
Quickly, Michael covered me with a blanket and left my house. I was all alone again. I couldn't wait for tomorrow to ask Liam and Selene about that...thing. And find out about the secret that they are keeping.
