Despite how many women Nick has been with, he has a tough time getting into a relationship with any of them because of a fear they might only want to be with him only for his fame. Petunia was the only exception at the time, but we all know how he fucked that one up.
His mental health isn't too great, anxiety and stress are horrible. The expectations of his fans and management for him being a rockstar doesn't help with the situation. He has panic attacks and emotional breakdowns on occasion
He's a genuinely well intentioned man, but some people don't seem to think that about him on account of many things he did.
