Izuku kept the camera rolling as they walked up to the front gate. Katsuki lightly tapped it and it slowly started swing open, with a high pitched irritating sound. Not wanting to hear that sound anymore than they had to, the group slid between the opening one by one. (Only after getting their bags onto the other side first.) The greenette handed the camera to Shouto through the bars before proceeding to squeeze through himself. Being the smallest had its perks sometimes. Candy-caned hair gave the camera back as they all picked their bags up again to continue walking through. The atmosphere was completely different to the previous "haunted" houses they stayed at. Maybe it was because this was their first mansion. They soon got to the front door and saw the old fashioned door knocker.
Denki immediately grabbed ahold of it and looked at the others asking, "Ya dare me?" Before letting them answer, he lifted it up and slammed it down creating a loud sound. He repeated the process two more times before stopping. "Welp, no one's answering, guess we gotta leave."
He then pretended to walk away, causing Katsuki to roll his eyes before going to try to open the door. Surprise, surprise, it's locked.
"This place is pretty old, maybe there's a broken window we can climb through?" Shouto asked when he noticed the door wasn't budging. "We brought the safety gloves just in case."
Katsuki nodded and started to walk around the mansion to look for an opening. Izuku followed with the camera to get some good shots too. Abandoned or not, the place still looked impressive. It was made extremely well and the greenette didn't want to miss a second of it.
The other three stayed behind on the front porch. Eijirou brought out his phone to record his own video. It didn't look as professional as the camera Izuku had, but it was good enough, and being able to switch to different cameras to get different angles proved to be a good idea, according to their comment section. He got up really close to the door knocker to get a good look at the details. It looked like a golden lion's head with a ring in its mouth.
"Hey, guys," Denki joked, "How much ya wanna bet that lion will turn into Jacob Marley?"
Eijirou didn't seem to get it, but Shouto let out a chuckle. The candy-caned hair was about to explain the joke when they heard Katsuki yell.
"Oi! Losers! Get your *ss*s over here!" The angry blond's voice came from the side of the mansion.
"We found an entrance!" Izuku joined in.
"Oi! What's this 'we' stuff, you d*mn nerd?! I found it!"
Shouto rolled his eyes, but he and Denki followed the sounds of their voices, while Eijirou stood there thinking for a bit. It then finally clicked in his head.
"OH! Jacob Marley! From that book, righ- Where'd everybody go?"
"Eijirou! Come on!" Denki's voice called out.
"Oh! Coming!" The redhead quickly ran around the side of the building to join the others.
When he got there, there was an old wooden door off its hinges and swinging wide open.
"This is, or was, the servant's entrance," Katsuki explained while Izuku filmed him. "Back in the old days, servants weren't allowed to use the front door unless given permission by their masters, so there was a second door that leads to the kitchen that the servants could go freely through. It usually would lead straight towards the garden so that the cooks and gardeners could bring fresh fruits and vegetables straight in to be cooked." He looked over at the garden, and the camera followed his gaze. "Of course, the garden here hasn't been used in years and is overflowing with weeds, vines, grass, you name it."
