"Hayden, what's a mark?" Hayley asked me as she walked into my office.

"Why do you ask?" I questioned as she sat down in front of me.

"My wolf was saying something about letting you mark me." She said. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair as I set my pen down.

"Marking is part of the mating process. There's three parts but my parents like to think that there is four. The first one is meeting your mate which has been completed. The second part is accepting your mate. The third is marking your mate. The fourth is mating them, or having sex with your mate." I told her.

"So how do you mark your mate?" She asked.

"It's like how you got turned into a werewolf earlier today. I will bite into your skin and when I'm done I would like where I bit and seal the mark. Then you will do the same thing to me. It shows other wolves that you belong to me and I belong to you. It tells that you are off the market." I explained to her.

"So have you accepted me?" Hayley asked.

"Of course I have. Ever since I shifted when I was ten, I wanted to find my mate. The real question is, do you accept me?" I replied to her calmly.

"Well, I do accept you." She smiled. I smiled back and picked my pen back up.

"Is that all you needed to talk about?" I asked as I went back to work.

"No. Your mother said dinner was ready." Hayley said. I groaned and dropped my pen and got up. We walked to the door and went downstairs. When I walked into the kitchen I was hit by another body. I groaned in pain which caused Hayley to growl slightly.

"Hayden. It's great to see you again." A voice said. I pulled the girl away and looked at her confused.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Your cousin. Abigail remember." She said with a frown. I thought for a bit before I smiled and hugged her again.

"Where have you been Abby." I asked after pulling away.

"I was off trying to find my mate. I have found him and I'm super happy. He's actually talking to dad and Jack." She explained. I nodded and turned to Hayley with a smile.

"Abigail, this is my mate Hayley. Hayley, this is my cousin Abigail." I smiled. They shook hands and started talking. I kissed Hayley's neck before I walked into the kitchen to see my mom still cooking.

"Do you need help momma?" I asked as she turned around.

"Yes can you make the desert. I would really appreciate it." She said with a smile.

"Alright." I replied. She handed me all of the ingredients and the recipe. I immediately got started and was half way through when I felt small arms wrap around my waist. I turned and saw Hayley looking up at me with a smile.

"Can I help?" She asked with hopeful eyes.

"I'm almost done." I told her. She frowned and I was quick to hold the recipe card up and show her where I was at with it. "You can do the rest of it if you want though."

Her eyes brightened up and she quickly made her way to wash her hands. I moved aside so I could give her space to work and watched how she quickly added the rest of the ingredients and followed the steps. She knew what she was doing and how it needed to be done.

"Mom, we're done. What do you want us to do now?" I asked her.

"I'll take the batter and you two can set the table." My mom said. I nodded and got cups and plates down. We were quick setting the table and finished just as my mom called for dinner.

We sat around the table and my mom and mate brought the food out. They set it on the table and we all waited to get some food. Once both my mom and Hayley were seated we all started to dig in.

"Hayden, there's a rogue in the cells that wants to speak to you." Will said as he came in.

"In eating. Can it wait?" I growled in annoyance.

"No. Eat quickly." Will shrugged. I groin frustration and got up just as my uncle, Jack and Abigail's mate came in.

"Touch my food and I will hurt you." I growled and pointed at everyone at the table. Connor got up and I motioned for Hayley to follow as well. She had confusion clear on her face but I stayed silent.

"Why is Hayley coming?" Connor asked concerned.

"She wants to be involved with what goes on in the pack so she's going to start going to these things with us. She is going to be the Luna after all." I replied. Hayley's expression brightened once she heard what I said. I smiled and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"He's in the interrogation room Alpha." One of the guards said as soon as we walked through the door.

"Great." I replied and started to head that way until a hand on my shoulder stopped me.

"He wishes to speak to you and only you." The guard told me. I frowned and looked at Hayley who had a frown on her face.

"They will stand outside of the room so they can hear what's going on." I said and started for the interrogation room. It didn't take long to get there and I stopped at the door. I waited for the other three to pick a spot before I went in to speak with the rogue.

"What is so important that it can't wait until tomorrow." I growled as I glared at the rogue who's hands were cuffed to the top of the table.

"They know about your mate Hayden." He smirked.

"Who are you talking about." I growled as I stepped closer to the man.

"The rogues. They will come and take her when you don't expect it and watch as you and your pack grow weak. After that they will take over the pack and there will be nothing you can do about it." He laughed. In a second he was out of his cuffs and I had him pinned to the wall.

"Calm down Alpha." He croaked. "If you kill me then I can't help you prepare." I growled loudly and dropped him on the floor. He gasped for air before giving me a half smile.

"I better not regret this." I growled in his ear.

"Oh you won't. And next time, bring you little mate into the room. I think I deserve to meet the Luna that I'm risking my life to protect." He smiled.

"Don't push it pup." I growled as I walked away. I glanced at him to see him bowing his head in my direction. I rolled my eyes and slammed the door shut.
