So the kids ages got reset cause the los loop colapsed around them.
Fiona was in Miss Wrens loop when it colapsed.
Therefore! Her age would be reset as well. So if they would let Hugh go back to get her she would be fine to live in the present. They would just need to go back through loops to get to 1940. And they have a giant house with doors to every loop on hand.
