Jon's Pov.

Working as a waiter in a small café has got its perks, like 50% off every type of coffee you buy as a staff member. Ooooo and the treats too, my favorite is the pecan pie, of course this is more of a side job. Earning money as I build my career in YouTube, patience does the trick. 

"Hey Jon, you have a call from.. a Paterson?" I turn to my work buddy, confused.

Why would Luke call me at work? I got over and grab the phone, "Luke? I'm working-" of course, he cuts me off.

"You need to come over, Evan is here looking beat and exhausted. Luckily he passed out on the couch." 

"Wait what? Evan is with you? Why?" I am just as confused as he seems to be.

"I don't know! Ryan and I were making some ramen and- and Evan appeared busting the door open. Luckily he didn't break it."

"I.. do you need me at the moment? I'm kind of in the middle of wor-"

"I don't give a damn about your work! Evan's in rough shape, he sure needs some company too."

I take a moment to think, Luke is right. But what if it was nothing and Evan just wanted some company? Damn! I must go, he did say he didn't look good. I nod to myself.

"A-alright, I'll be there soon
Just take care of him for now, perhaps he can tell us what happened." With that I hang up, quickly telling my boss that a family emergency had happened. Thank full he lets me go! Lucky me, don't worry Evan.

I can't help but speed my way there, with this luck iight as well break a fucking law. Anyways, soon I arrive an run towards the door. But Ryan is already there. With a swift movement I'm in and I see Evan sitting on the couch in the living room, he must've woken up. He spots me, giving me a small pained smile.

"John! I'm sorry you had to leave work like that, just.. something had happened and Luke and Ryan were my only option.

I sit besides him, like and Ryan watch and listen from the living room's open door. "Evan, what happened? Why aren't you at home?" I can't help but he concerned, I thought joke was safe?

"John I was attacked! By funny looking men, they were going to take me away but I escaped! Sadly they thrashed your place, so.. I'm sorry about that..."

Evan shrinks onto those broad shoulders, having a guilty look for a brief moment.

But I don't care about my house, who were those men? Why did they come for Evan?

I can't help but check his face, moving it to the sides a she stays quiet. Is he injuredin aby sort of way?

"Are out hurt Evan? I couldn't live with myself of they got you, we can't go back home. Perhaps we can stay here?" I say that looking at my best buddies, he takes a moment before egiving an exxagerated sigh as he marches off. I'll have to tell him about what's happening after this.

I'm glad Evan's ok, this meen won't see the light of day the next time he crosses paths with them.
