Homecoming Proposals

As is typical with high school males, they're all freaking out about how to ask their girlfriends, or in Peeta's case crush, to homecoming.  The dance is three weeks away and this year's theme was 50's Diner.

"Guys, I don't think I can do this.  What if she says no?  What if she thinks the idea is stupid?" Finnick is telling Peeta and Marvel while standing outside of Annie's house.

"Finn, she's going to LOVE this.  She'd be crazy to say no," Peeta affirms.

"What Peeta said," Marvel adds.

"Ok, here goes nothing," and with this Finnick knocks on Annie's door.

He's holding a huge board with pictures of them throughout the years and in the middle has written, "Can you picture us together at HOMECOMING?"

Annie starts tearing up and can only nod her head, at which Finnick pulls her in for a hug.  

"Finn, this is too cute.  I love you," Annie says, tears still in her eyes.

"I love you too," Finnick replies, then proceeds to lean in and have their foreheads touch, eyes closed.

Cato is waiting just outside of the locker rooms, near the soccer field where the girls team is practicing.  As confident as he looks on the outside, his insides are wracked with nerves.  He's about to ask Clove to homecoming and it's in the cheesiest way possible.

As the girls start disbanding from their end of practice huddle, Cato gives a sign to Gale, who's waiting on the bleachers with his guitar, only waiting for Cato's signal.  When he gets the signal, he starts walking out with Gale, strumming "A Thousand Years".

"Clove, Clove, Clove!  It's Cato!  Look!" Katniss starts pointing at him, Clove slightly shocked.

Cato starts singing the song, having many posters ready to go along with the lyrics.

"The day we met, frozen I held my breath.  Right from the start, I knew that I'd found a home for my heart."  He holds up a poster with with a picture of them as little kids, awkwardly standing side by side in soccer uniforms.

"Beats fast, colors and promises.  How to be brave?  How can I love when I'm afraid to fall, watching you stand alone?"  This poster is of him celebrating something on the TV, clearly Clove scoring a goal at the U-20 World Cup.

"All of my doubt, suddenly goes away somehow.  One step closer,"  He takes one step closer to her, a cheesy smile on his face but still having heart eyes.

"I have died everyday waiting for you, darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years, I'll love you for a thousand more."  The next poster is of Cato looking longingly at Clove in middle school, captured by Glimmer.  Everyone had known he wanted to ask her out but she had been dating Gloss at that time.

"Time stands still, beauty in all she is.  I will be brave, I will not let anything take away what's standing in front of me.  Every breath, every hour has come to this.  One step closer."  Yet another step closer.

"I have died everyday waiting for you, darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years, I'll love you for a thousand more."  His final poster is his homecoming proposal.  It says, 
"Childhood best friends to boyfriend and girlfriend I've always loved you and I'll love you for a thousand more.  HOMECOMING?"

"Oh my gosh, Cato.  You're so damn cheesy," Clove says, lightly punching him.

"Gale?" Cato asks, and from his messenger bag, Gale pulls out a cheese pizza.
