Chapter Thirteen

CHAPTER THIRTEEN:

I was sleeping in my bed, it must have been early in the morning sometime when I was jolted awake by a hand on my shoulder and sat bolt upright ready to defend myself. I reached desperately for something to use as a weapon but the only thing could find in the dark was a can of deodorant. 

'Seriously? That's your weapon of choice? Let's pray no one really breaks into your house' a mans voice laughed, I sighed loudly when I realised it was just Harry being an idiot.

'Oh my god! You scared me so much, ugh are you really in my house at...' I grabbed my phone from the table to look at the time, I squinted at the bright light, '4am?!'

'Uh yeah, I've got to leave for the airport in half an hour babe' he said sadly, he clearly didn't want to leave, I mean he loved touring and seeing fans but he missed home while he was away.

'Oh, come here' I said as I moved over a bit so he could crawl in beside me, I had a single bed so it was a squeeze but I liked being so close to him that I could hear his heart beat. I snuggled into his chest and inhaled his sweet scent. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead lovingly. 

'I'm going to miss you more than you could ever know baby' his voice cracked as he whispered in my ear, his curls brushing on my forehead as he rested his against mine so he could look right into my eyes.

'Shh, I'll miss you too' I replied using a comforting tone as I ran my hand through his hair and pulled him down so he could put his head on my shoulder, I could feel his whole body relax as he nuzzled my neck. We lay together in silence for another half an hour, the tension of what we were waiting for was like a heavy cloud above us, a long distance relationship was a big commitment and it would be hard. Harry's phone vibrated in his pocket and I could hear him whimper quietly, it must have been a text from one of the boys saying it was time to go.

'I can't leave you, not because I'll miss you but because I can't be without you. I can't, I just can't' A tear rolled down his face and his breath hitched in his chest, I used my thumb to wipe the tear away but the lump in my throat was the size of a tennis ball and I could barely breathe.

'I know, but there's nothing we can do' I told him, I was trying so hard to stay strong for him however it was getting harder and harder every time I spoke.

'But why can't you come?' he asked, it was a ridiculous question I have school and a life here fi I went on tour with them there is no way I'd be able to keep up with the work. There was only one week left of this academic year and after the summer I'll be in my last year of sixth form.

'I can't babe, I have school you know that' I said trying to be gentle with him but I knew he was hurt by it.

'But there's only one week left and... I thought that.. I don't know you could take a gap year and you could come on tour with us then when we get back go to college?' he suggested, it made sense well by that I mean that it was possible and the only thing holding me back was fear. The soft sound of Harry humming 'Forever Young' filled the air around us and I decided I was done with fear.

'Okay' I said simply, Harry grinned from ear to ear and wrapped his hands around my face then kissed me passionately. I packed my bag really quickly just throwing in my favourite stuff and ran down stairs to get in the car. When I reached the door of the car I saw one of the boys' body guards or something (I hadn't seen them before) standing in front of it.

'She can't come.' his words were directed at Harry and I could tell they cut him like knives, there was such pain in his eyes that I can't even describe.

'W-what?' he stuttered.

'She'll distract you, she can't come, don't be mad at me I'm just the messenger' he said and glared at me. That seemed to be it, I was going to have to spend about 6 months away from Harry and there was nothing I could do about it.
