Before becoming a half-demon due to the whole cult incident, Jack struggled with ADD.
Without medication, it would get pretty bad, so he used to take pills for it to help him focus on school. After the cult incident, however, it didn't fully go away, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it had been before. Now he can still pay attention without having to take medication, but his mind will wander if nothing important or exciting is happening.
