Kage is obsessed with nicknames. He's given one to each and every one of his friends and almost never calls them anything but their assigned nickname.
Examples:
- Jeff = Cheshire-kun
Kage came up with this one because of Jeff's permanent smile, which reminded the wine demon of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland when they first met. Jeff loathes the nickname while Kage enjoys annoying the hell out of him with it.
- Ben = Bensai
This one is derived from the word "Bonsai," a Japanese plant that's basically a really tiny tree that grows in a small pot. Kage thinks it's especially fitting for Ben because he usually wears green, similar to the plant. Ben acts like he hates the nickname, but he secretly really likes it.
- Slender = Warui Koeda (悪い小枝)
Warui Koeda means "Bad Twig" in Japanese. This one's pretty self explanatory. Kage never calls Slender this to his face because Slender, being fluent in nearly every language known to man, would know what he was saying and beat the hell out of him.
