» end of tour «
I stepped foot in my house once again. "Home sweet home." I said, taking a deep breath.
I put Xavier down and he crawled away. I felt arms wrap around my wait and become confused. I turned around to be greeted my Alice.
I giggled. "Well hello."
"Hi!" She smiled and kissed my cheek. "Where'd my handsome man go?"
"Crawled behind the coach." I chuckled and walked up the stairs to my room. I threw my bags next to my closet and proceeded to throw myself on my bed.
"Happy to be back?" I heard Tony speak as he walked into my room.
"Extremely. I love being on tour with you guys, just get a little homesick." I smile as I turn on my side, facing Tony.
He nods. "I understand. We love having you, Alice and Xavier. It means a lot to all of us."
"Are you sure about that?" I sighed, playing with my comforter.
"I'm positive. Why do you think otherwise?" He said softly, sitting next to me.
I shrugged. "I don't know. Vic hasn't talked to me since the party unless it's about Xavier. I haven't really talked to Mike either."
"Look, it's just a situation they're uncomfortable with. I mean they're brothers and in love with the same girl. That can't be easy for anyone."
"Mikes in love with me?" I freeze in place.
"It's obvious. He looks at you the same way Vic looks at you and the same way Jaime looks at his tacos." He pauses and laughs. "He does anything to get you two alone together. And he has not stopped talking about how much fun he had with you leading up to the party. He's definitely in love with you." Tony explained.
"Wow." I fell silent. "I just don't think I'm ready to get back into a relationship. I mean with everything that just happened I think I should take some time to myself and focus on Xavier and I. I just want my friends back."
"So talk to them. They're extremely understanding, you know that."
I nodded. "Like sit them down together?"
"I would just talk to them individually first then let them know you wanna sit down all together and talk. See if they're comfortable with that. If not, let me know and I'll deal with it." He smiled innocently.
"Thank you, Tony. You're the best." I smiled as I wrapped my arms around him.
He embraced me as we enjoyed each other's company for a while. He was such a sweetheart and he has the biggest, purest heart I know.
We pulled away. "I'm gonna go talk to Mike."
He nodded. "Good luck, although you definitely won't need it with Mike."
I chuckled as he walked out of the room. I followed him out and searched for Mike. I finally found him outside on the deck, smoking a cigarette.
"Hey.. Can I talk to you?" I said softly as I opened the slider door and closed it behind me.
"Yeah, sure. What's up?" He said as he opened the pack of cigarettes for me. "Want one?"
I shrugged. 'Fuck it' I thought to myself as I grabbed one and lit it up.
"I just wanted to clear the air. I don't want this awkward tension to be here anymore. I want my close friend back." I explained as I took a puff of the cigarette.
"I just feel terrible. God... I don't know. I just feel like I ruined it for you." He sighed, smoking his cigarette.
"You didn't know. And I kissed you back so it was my fault too."
"Best kiss of your life, huh?" He smirked.
I playfully hit him and laughed. "Yeah, sure."
He chuckled then paused. "Wait it wasn't?" He pouted.
"It was a great kiss, Mike. But we're not talking about it." I smiled.
He nodded. "Fine. But I'm gonna keep telling myself it was the best kiss you've ever had."
"Whatever helps you sleep at night." I laughed as he nudged me. "Would you be okay sitting down with Vic and I so we can talk about everything? Assuming he agrees."
He nods. "Yeah, I'm okay with that."
"Good."
We sat on the deck and finished our cigarettes then hugged each other before going back inside.
I walked around the house looking for Vic and found him in the music room alone.
I knocked on the side of the door. "Knock knock."
"Oh, hey." He spoke softly.
"Can I talk to you?" I slowly walked in and sat on the coach.
Vic didn't speak at all, he just kept writing down whatever he was working on.
"Okay.. I just wanted to clear the air. I hate this tension we have between us. For fucks sake, we have a kid. I want to be able to communicate with you. I want Vic back. I don't want to talk to this grumpy old troll-"
"Grumpy old troll?" Vic snapped around.
"S-sorry. Xaviers been watching Dora a lot."
Vic couldn't help but laugh.
"See? I want this back. I want to be able to talk to you and joke around with you. I want the Vic that I fell in love with." I smiled.
He smiled back. "I'm sorry. That was really childish. Just the sight of seeing my brother and the girl I'm in love with kissing was-"
"It was wrong and it should've never happened. I'm sorry."
He nods. "You're forgiven."
I stand up, reach my arms out and put on my puppy dog face on, asking for a hug.
He rolls his eyes and smiles as he gets up and embraces me.
"I love you." Vic spoke up.
"I love you too." I replied, kissing his cheek. "One more thing."
"Yes?" He asked.
"I want Mike, you and I to all sit down together and talk everything out because as much as I hated not talking to either of you, I hate you guys not talking at all even more."
"Yeah. We can do that."
"Awesome. Now, tell me. What were you writing?" I gestured toward the stack of line paper and the pencil on the table.
"A song." He replied, simply.
"Can I hear it?"
He shook his head. "It's not ready, love. When it's done, you'll be the first to hear it." He smiled.
I nodded. "Meet me in my room in 5. I'm going to go grab Mike."
