Knocking on the door I looked around making sure nobody followed me. Shit was about to get dangerous and I had to protect myself and Kaila. So if mr.kevin could help me with that I was all for it

"Ight look son first things first, I need you to lay low for a good while, now that I have revealed myself to lavon he knows that we're working together so here's the plan. Monica Brooklyn mom will take in kaila but we have to really sell this shit ight?" He spoke as I nodded knowing shit was really real and If I didn't do this I could possibly be 6 feet under

"You have two options. Option number 1 you fake your death and get out of the city for a couple months and once Brooklyn graduates we all move somewhere far away or option two I shoot you and lead you into a coma both are risky but with option 1 nobody can know and I mean nobody that your faking your death so think wisely

Sighing I ran my hands down my face "fuck!" I yelled

"Man I can't do neither of them I can't leave Kaila like that do you know how bad that'll break her we just lost our mama man, I just got us a place to stay"

"Listen to me carefully you staying is your choice but just know it won't be as simple as it sounds you will put yourself and everyone else you know in danger you will become a target and Kaila will to if your willing to risk that then so be it but if death is to much for you we can just do a kidnapping as if someone took you. They first 4 months they will spend looking for you then after that they'll figure your gone"

"So how long we speaking?" I asked as he shrugged his shoulders

"7 months top" he spoke as I nodded my head

"So how all of this gonna go down? When and where? Am I gonna get to see Kaila before I go?, can it happen in two days? Just keep me under protection"

"Nah man it don't work like that you have today and the beginning of tomorrow to wrap your life up" he spoke as I nodded "it'll happen by surprise so be prepared"

Sighed I thanked him as I made my way out

I couldn't help but think that I was being selfish by leaving the ones I loved just to save my ass

But I couldn't think about that, me walking around in broad day light was dangerous I could get popped right now

Making my way to the house Kaila sat on the couch watching tv

"Wassup Mook" I spoke giving her a warm smile

"Nothing I was wondering if I could go over to joe house she having a sleepover for her birthday which is tomorrow" she asked as I sighed

"Nah I was thinking maybe we could stay in and order take out and watch a couple of movies" I suggested as she rolled her eyes

"Kace I'm with you every night and we always watch movies together I just can't go? She won't have another birthday until next year. This is my best friend we talking about" she pleaded basically begging me

"Ight you can go later but first you got to spend quality time with yo big brother" I smirked as she smiled

"Deal, what you wanna order?" She asked

"Up to you, you really need to learn how to cook I'm not gonna be here forever and money gonna run out" i said as she faked yawned

"I'm working on that and I ordered pizza how's that?" She asked

"You mean the world to me kaila and I don't say that lightly anything and everything I do is to protect you and have better for you. Always remember that" I spoke

"I know and i love you to the moon and back for everything you done for me" she smiled before pressing play on the movie

we spent a couple hours before she ended up leaving.

going up into my room i lifted up my bed reaching under it into the little hole i made grabbing my stash of money taking it into her room putting it into the dresser by her closet

Pulling out my phone I asked her to come over when kaila leave which was in about 3 hours

"Kacey can I actually leave now joe is having a crisis and she needs her best there ASAP her moms otw here to get me already so pleaseeeee" she asked as I sighed before nodding pulling her into a hug

"I'm gonna miss you Mook be safe ight?" I spoke hugging her tightly

"I can't breath, you'll see me in the morning Kace" she spoke as a horn blew outside

"That's for me I'll see you in the morning " she spoke pulling from the hug

"Love you to bye" she smiled leaving the house

Sighing heavily I wiped my face as a tear fell

Can't believe this shit man

I knew me disappearing on kaila would break her to pieces man, I was the only one she had and the thought of me leaving her for a couple months didn't sit right with me at all

I always preached to kaila that no matter what don't let nobody interrupt on what you got going on in your life

And here I was running away from the problems I created instead of staying and dealing with it like a man
