"Have y'all found anything to wear to this Halloween party? Cause I have" Casual said plopping on my bed
"Girl fuck no all I gotta do is throw on some lingerie with a lil skirt and heels and call it a day" Ashanti said making me turn my nose up at her
"What a hoe" I spoke putting on destiny eyelash
"Halloween is creepy as hell but the parties be lit even tho people barely dress up" casual said
"No you're just scary as fuck" destiny spoke moving her head making me pop her
"Be still damn"
We were at my house chillin since it was raining out side and I didn't want to leave the house due to me being on my period
"Somebody knocking on your door" casual said making me turn down the music
"Come in" i semi yelled as the door opened revealing Kacey
"yo pops bouta head out kaila gone somewhere wit yo mama" he said as i responded okay
"Wassup shanti" he said only speaking to her since he didn't really know destiny and Casual
"Kacey you still single" she asking as I laughed shaking my head
"Yeah" he replied looking at me before looking back at her "Ima head out" he spoke closing the door as casual busted out laughing
"Girl what the hell was that" she shook her head laughing
"Whattt? I just wanna know if he single shit" Ashanti said shrugging her shoulders "his fine ass"
"Girl bye you know he got Brooklyn written all over him" casual said making me shoot my eyes in her direction
"Oh no he is completely single me and him have nothing going on"
"So you telling me you wouldn't care if ashanti tried to talk to him?" She quizzed as I shrugged my shoulders
"He's not my man so if you wanna talk to him go for it" I said smiling
"Say less"
"Y'all want anything to drink or eat?" I asked getting up
"It don't matter anything good" destiny spoke as they agreed
Walking out of my room I shut the door behind me making my way downstairs
Seeing kacey sitting on the couch I looked over at him
"Take a picture it'll last longer" he said smirking making me roll my eyes
"Boy bye" I laughed going into the kitchen grabbing 3 bottle of waters and a snack
"That's crazy how you suppose to be my best friend but you got me down here by myself bored" he said getting up coming in the kitchen
Playfully rolling my eyes I couldn't hold the smile that was forming on my face
"I promise when they leave I'll be all yours , they should be leaving soon" I said as he smacked his teeth
"It's three of them up there I'm sure they can keep each other company it's only one of me and I'm slowly dying from boredom "
" you are so selfish, I'll stay down here for 15 minutes" I said sitting the stuff down going to the couch as he came and sat beside me pulling some cover over us
To say I wasn't nervous would be a lie I don't think I have ever been this close to him
And it was a blanket over us
"You wanna watch a movie?" He asked looking at me with his face just inches away from mine
"How we gonna watch a movie in 15 minutes?"
"Fine let's talk then, wassup?"
"You know Ashanti tryna get with you" I said wondering what his reaction was gonna be but he just shrugged
"I ain't tryna be in a relationship right now I gotta focus on making money and getting a place for me and my sister to lay our head " he said as I nodded "but if the right girl comes around then yeah I'm open to a relationship"
"What do you look for in a relationship?" I asked him , I loved that we always ended up having meaningful conversations getting to know one another
" a playful person, one who isn't quick to anger, reasonable, considerate somebody who can see my side of things and not just assume stuff , I don't want to be with anyone who can never hear me out and is quick to believe everything they hear the main thing I look for in a relationship is pursuit of knowledge and understanding."
He said as I nodded he was such an open book all you had to do was ask his whole personality was a vibe
"What about you?" He asked as I sat there thinking for a while
"Well one of the main things for me is passion. You can be perfect in every way, but if i dont get that feeling that you really love me and care for me, I cant be with you, also honesty I don't want to be with someone who lies all the time and also trust. Trust is the main ingredient in a relationship"
"Mhm so passion, honesty and trust I can fuck with that" he said nodding his head "have you been in a relationship before?" He asked as I shook my head no
"I've dated people but I've never been in a relationship"
"Explain?" He asked looking confused making me laugh
"Dating means no serious attachment; a relationship is a true commitment. The level of the relationship you have with another person defines the difference between casual dating and being in an actual, committed relationship."
"If that's the case then I haven't been in a relationship either that's tuff"
"So have you been looking for places to stay?" I asked changing the conversation before it got awkward
"Yeah but everything out here expensive as hell but I found this place for 880 a month that's still over my budget but shit it'll have to work, I also found this house for 975 a month so I might as well get the house and pay off the first 5 months so I can have time to work up the next 5 months of rent" he expressed shrugging
"You making enough money for that?" I asked as he shrugged
"Shit I just started out I got more than enough to pay the first 3 months but I'm tryna pay 5 so I need like 9000"
"You sound like you headed in the right track just be safe with the shit you doing , I'm proud of you and remember you don't need no fancy shit Kacey, start off simple and small then build that shut up " I smiled getting up "but 15 minutes has passed so I'm out" I spoke heading upstairs
"Aye you coming back down when they leave?" He asked
