The Unexpected
The "medicine" Muzan offered to Takashi (Tanjirou) is steadily amending his interior anatomy. Limited time remaining prior for his evocation of precious memories fades away from his peculiar mind. Normal demons naturally neglects their past instantly whilst Takashi required medicine or potion to neglect his.
The medicine given by Muzan went through various experiments and extra clarifications and confirmations to fully erase an abnormal but potential demon. Just like Takashi had become. The medicine has a mixture of Muzan's blood, demon arts, and herbs he used from the doctor's equipments.
Basically, the way that the medicine works was mainly into slowly erasing his demon's memories to show off the power that a potential demon possess. For the man, memories bound to destroy demons' aspect being a potential demon. For as they can assist the man into fulfilling his desires for his monstrous lifestyle.
The medicine upon injection flows with the bloodstream heading directly towards the demon's brain intoxicating its brain cells containing its memories and past life. Although the duration that the process undergoes estimated at least few months for the fact that due to the demon's daily activities it certainly delays its process to collect and join in the circulation of the blood cells. The liquid contained the medicine was stout while it travels from the vein point of the syringe spreading it all over the demon's veins and affecting other interior organs for a better regeneration status and the improvement of its power level and development.
The medicine is given mainly to the demons whom Muzan entrusted within. In this case, the former and the infamous strongest demon slayer, Tanjirou currently known as Takashi, was the potential demon whom Muzan prioritized.
Muzan's solo expedition is to discover the Blue Spider Lily. Since he couldn't trust anyone other than himself. Knowing the fiend side of Tanjirou could take full responsibility on being the leader for a while, he let the lad to do whatever he desires. Even if it closely to betraying him.
Takashi knew from the previous months living as an immortal known demon, that he was unable to consume human flesh and blood. Which was already predicted by Muzan for it was part of the medicine Takashi injected to himself. The medicine seemed to have multiple functions and effects towards Takashi for even the inability to consume human flesh and blood, which mostly demons greedily fight towards.
It started when the lad strived himself into partaking the "devouring session" which a habit contributed from its leader towards his "slaves".
He couldn't feel anything from the sight he's seeing. He wanted to pray for the person but he couldn't. Instead, his hand moved on its own and teared a flesh from the person's chest.
He smelled the blood from its flesh. Oddly, the smell disgusts him. A neutral demon enthusiastically favored the smell of blood, unlike him loathing main meal of the demons. Covering his nose in aversion, he devoured the rotten flesh.
He couldn't believe it. The taste is even worse than the smell itself. His body started rumbling and shaking in a wavering pattern. Why is this happening? Does demons naturally shakes after consuming human flesh?
Suddenly, he felt numb on his limbs and unable to move according to his desire. He went limped departuring his site. What is happening? This is a bit unusual. Is he unable to consume human flesh and blood? Then what could he possibly do to develop his demon powers? He only has the ability to turn a human into a demon in a short period of time.
A few moments later, his instincts suddenly alarmed him. A demon is lurking in the forest but something strange is going on. He somehow felt it from Muzan himself from what happened hundreds of years ago.
