Sunday
After the christening we all went out to eat. Jahking kept looking around. I could tell he was nervous..shit I was nervous too. Deshae really fucked up.
"Mom we really gotta get going." Jahking said.
"Yeah we do." I said.
"Now I done paid for all this damn food! Y'all wanna leave?" Jahking's grandpa said.
I rolled my eyes and looked at Jahking. "Yeah you did but Mila's tired." I said.
"Milan...who the fuck came up with that?" His grandpa said.
"It's Mila." I said.
"It's a good name dad. Please don't start." Arlene said.
"I'm too young to be a great grandfather...this is what happens when you let these kids fuck young."
"Shut the fuck up!" Jahking's grandma said making everyone laugh. "You're always being rude. My great granddaughter is a blessing."
"If I'm so rude why the fuck am I letting these black fuckers in my home?!" He asked.
"I own the house." Jahking's grandma said.
Jahking's grandpa was silent. He got up and left.
"He's leaving with my car." Jahking's grandma said.
"I'm so sorry mom." Arlene said.
"You can ride with us grandma."
I got a call from my new job. They wanted me to start today. I sighed and thought about Deshae.
"They really want you to come in? Today? Of all days?"
I nodded. "I'm gonna go." I said.
"What? Weren't you just freaking out?" He asked.
"I know but we need the money.
Jahking took me to work. I was nervous but we really need the money. Would Deshae fans be here this fast to find us? Would they really search a hotel.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"Yes." I said nodding.
"You know with everything you went through." He said.
I rolled my eyes. "Okay but we need money. I'm tired of depending on your grandma."
"What if Rick-"
"I don't think he's in Guam." I said laughing.
"It's not funny." He said.
"Seriously Jah." I said.
"It's not funny...that could be here. They know my moms from a island."
I sighed. "That's true but wouldn't that be obvious they probably think your...i don't know...just gone."
"I don't think so. After what Deshae did."
"Jahking can you stop bitching!"
"Bitchin? I just want you safe and you think this is a fucking joke!"
"I don't. You need to calm down." I said. I looked at him. "I know this is serious. I know how to protect myself. I was in there longer then you. I don't wanna go back. Can you just trust me?!" I said.
He nodded. "Okay, go ahead. Please be safe."
"Okay dad." I said making him laugh.
I got out and went to the front desk.
"Hi, I'm Alessia. Today's my first day."
The man turned around and smiled. It was Ron. My heart dropped. I blinked my eyes because I thought I was imagining him.
"Oh my gosh! Ron?! How..."
"Look. After you're friend spilled the beans that you might be in Guam, Rick had me come here to find you."
"Ron...I was scared that you were dead or something."
"Well I'm alive."
"Are you trying to escape him?"
"I...I don't know."
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"I wanna help y'all...I really do. I also need the money."
"Come on we were planning to go somewhere."
"He's giving me 500 thousand if I get you and Jahking. Then he'll let me free."
"Ron...you don't think he's serious right?" I asked.
He nodded. "He told me he was."
"Ron."
"Foreal."
I walked towards the door texting Jahking. The door was locked.
"What the fuck?" I said.
