The blood pours
Forming a scarlet rose
I smile for the camera
Strike the pose
I smile for the camera -
Ignore my tears
I will smile for the camera
Dwell on my fears
But it's an afterthought
Feeling ethereal...
I will just smile for the camera
Because I have stamina
Keep running from my problems
- when the tears come I will stop them
Because no one cries anymore
Let the blood pool on the floor
Because I'm smiling for the camera
They will never know
That when I'm smiling for this camera
I put on my greatest show
So just smile for the camera
Act like it's natural
The key is not to care
Don't tell them anything - don't you dare
Because pretty people are smart
So I try to recreate the art
Pretty people don't cry
So I'll just say I'm alright
As I smile for the camera
And let you all know
That one day my smile
Will turn cold as snow.
