Chapter 23
Eclipse: No! No more bitching! *slams laptop shut*
Jolt: Do you see what you people have done to him?! I hope you all are happy!
Chapter 23- The Draft
"So you really haven't told them?" Jolt couldn't understand why she was so confused. Of course he hadn't told them. In fact, he hadn't told anyone since he had made the choice to dye his fur yellow that he was shiny. Flames was shiny too, but Jolt couldn't understand why she was so fine with it. Perhaps it was her timid personality that made her avoid others unlike him, and as a result she had been exposed to far less negativity. He, on the other hand, never wanted anyone to know what color he really was; it only led to trouble. "No..." he admitted, causing a glance from her. "Well, I think you should. We're rare, you and I, and I think that's something to be proud of." Jolt did his best not to scoff at that. "Why don't you go tell them real quick, then come back up here and have dinner with me?" Flames suggested, giving him a playful nuzzle. As if... he thought as he shook his head no.
Flames didn't get why it was an issue, and it needed to be solved, at least in her mind. Shinys were rare and to be celebrated, and there was really no reason for him to hide his true self. She was in a playful mood, and figured she'd pull one over on him. Plus, she wanted to be sure that he really was shiny like her, and not just fooling around. She took his paw into hers and played with it for a minute, running her digits all around his pads. Then, too quick for him to guess what was happening, she squeezed his paw and sent a massive amount of electricity surging through him. "Hey! What gives?!" Jolt shouted, but it was already becoming too late for him. Flames cycled the energy through his body and back into hers, not hurting him, but heating him up. The sheer amount of kinetic energy caused Jolt to start to sweat within seconds, and heat radiated off his fur. By the time he actually realized what she was doing to him, he was powerless to stop it: the heat was causing his dye to literally be burned away, rolling off his body like liquid boulders off a mountain.
"No, don't!" He screamed, but by the time he finished, he was lying in a pool of yellow. His green fur glistened in the darkness just like Flames', with melted splotches of yellow here and there. Jolt just sat there, staring at his fur with a mixture of awe and horror. That was just great. Now he had to tell the others. He felt fury rising up deep within him, but it died as soon as he saw Flames' face. She looked happy, as if she had just done him a favor, and was happy to help him out. She was so innocent as she smiled warmly at him, that Jolt felt his anger quickly dispel. She could get him to do whatever she wanted with that smile.
Midnight and Volt sat watching TV, their bellies just beginning to swell from the eggs inside. Midnight figured she had about a day or so before the others found out what she had done with Jolt, but she didn't care; she loved him, so what did it matter if she bore his child? Behind her, she heard the door open and close, then saw Angel heading outside into the snow. A pang of guilt hit her as she saw her, sweet, innocent Angel, the product of a lustful heat. Midnight wondered how she would take it that her dad had went and fathered another kid, but what was done was done, and she would have to accept the consequences. She watched Angel for a moment, making a castle out of snow with her tail, just as it was beginning to get dark. The storm earlier that day had provided plenty of fresh snow, and the Vaporeon wanted to play with some before night fell. Angel turned her back to the forest, and Midnight happened to glance over at the dark trees. At first, she was nothing, and was about to turn away when she saw figures approaching.
At first, all she could see were their dark silhouettes, until one by one they revealed themselves to be a hunting party of Mightyena. Midnight watched in horror as they slowly advanced on the clueless Vaporeon, then broke into a headlong sprint. Angel turned her head and saw the pack, her mouth dropping open. She inhaled to scream, but the leader of the pack tackled her before her lungs were even filled. He quickly knocked her unconscious with a sucker punch to the jaw, then hoisted her up on his back, and promptly returned to the dark woods. "Oh Arceus... Oh Arceus..." Midnight repeated, panic starting to swell in her. "S-Sparky! Come quick!" she screamed, finally finding her voice as she scrambled to her feet. In a flash, the Jolteon was out and in front of her, knowing something must be wrong from Midnight's panicked tone. "A-Angel!" Midnight shouted, throwing the door open and pointing furiously at the snow where angel had just been. "Mightyena grabbed her! She's gone! Angel!" Midnight was in hysterics by now, but Sparky quickly pieced together what had happened. "Sky! Flame! Snow!" She screamed, and it was even less time before the Eevees stood before her, being alerted by Midnight's screams. They didn't need to be told what was happening, and Sparky didn't have time to explain. "Let's go," Snow said solemnly, and the four broke into a dead sprint in the direction of the pack, followed closely by Breeze, who felt her type advantage warranted her coming along.
Jolt was halfway to the house, fresh out of the icy cold stream, when he heard the screams. "Help, please! Anybody, help me!" the frantic voice rang out, accompanied by the sound of several heavy running footsteps. Jolt paused, and cocked his head in the direction of the voice. It sounded familiar... Suddenly, the pack of Mightyena came into view, carrying their hostage towards the direction of the city. The Pokémon army had been running dangerously low on troops, and although they didn't want to, they had to force others into their service if they wanted to win the battle. Jolt craned his neck to see who they were carrying. It was a Vaporeon, pretty young by the looks of it, and with a familiar voice... Jolt almost fell backwards as the realization hit him like a slap in the face. "Angel!" he screamed as he took off after the fact, not caring about how hopelessly outnumbered he was, only about how he had to save his little girl...
