Black Hat stood in the middle of his new room, glancing around it briefly, deep in his thoughts.
He had plans, and so far everything went according or really close to them. The random coworker of Flug's did annoy the demonic being a little, but in the end that foolish human did seem distressed after the demon scared him. What was that stupid guy's name anyways? Frank or something? That didn't matter. What really did matter though, is that it's really likely that he will avoid the villain's Doctor altogether. It was actually for the scientist's own sake, that person seemed too irritating.
Actually, the thought of frightening someone being a good deed from some perspective disgusted Black Hat. He's pure evil! Even though he hasn't proven it to the world yet, he was going to do that soon. He had powers to easily accomplish that, after all.
But right now he was exploring this world, having fun and observing human beings. So far the human kind seemed very stupid to him, but because of that it was easy to scare them. Another thing entertaining about them - they're all so different, so it's easy to get never seen before reactions, the mocking and evil doings never get old. Although they seemed extremely predictable to Black Hat - usually he sees their first couple of reactions and then takes pretty accurate guesses to their next moves. In the end, even those humans who were supposed to be the "bravest", - heroes, mainly - were extremely pathetic and not worth a note.
Of course, there is exceptions for everything. The main reason he still wasn't bored of this place and didn't escape is a certain someone who seems... promising. He's like getting a breath of fresh air after sitting in a room with all doors and windows being closed 24/7. He's not always predictable and still fun because of how scared or uncomfortable he can get. Of course, the person the villain's thinking about really often nowadays is Flug, his doctor that he didn't need.
Although he felt like he did need him for something. In the beginning the feelings confused Black Hat, - he truly thought he didn't need anyone in his legacy of conquering the world, - but he lived long enough to understand just how brilliant his thoughts are, so he did what he and his mind wanted. This time, his mind wanted Flug. Maybe it was his intelligence, - high for his own kind, but still not quite comparable to the demon's, - how pathetic he really is with his impulsive reactions, the way he valued his patient and cared about him, or just his appearance and body language - he didn't question himself there, it would only make him more confused, and that is simply unacceptable.
His original plan wasn't to stay here. Yes, he got here by his own will: committed a crime, surrendered to the police and acted crazy on the interviews, all just to get here. Why would he want to, anyways? It started when people called him crazy, saying he should sit in an asylum. He didn't pay too much attention to it at first, but then he saw some strange news report, saying that a man assaulted someone and was sent to an psych hospital because of his mental state. The fact that it was on the news affected him: that was an indicator of something most people find worth talking about. It should've been something worth "checking out" for someone who didn't fully understand humans. Well, it certainly was worth it, knowing who he met here.
And now, his plans changed. He is still going to get out of here, but with Flug. After all, there wasn't anything interesting in this place apart from the Doctor. But he wouldn't force him - it is much interesting if he "recruits" him, makes it his wish to be on Black Hat's side, lets him taste the evil and makes him loyal. And for the bag-headed man to want all of those things, he needed feelings. They seemed very important to the humans, so they would work as a good bond. To be honest, he won't be able to resist himself and he absolutely will mock Flug sometimes, but he seemed kind of used to that, so that wouldn't be a problem.
And this all sure sounded like manipulation, to you and to the villain himself. But what someone would hardly notice are the word choices that demon made: even he didn't notice his mind carefully sneaking in something, that suggested Flug getting some feelings back. Those feelings that would work as a good bond between them.
