Beyoncé's alarm went off at 7:00am making her groan and turn it off. She desperately wanted to hit the snooze button, but she knew she needed to get up or else she would be late. She cursed at herself internally for staying up so late.

After using a lot of willpower, she swung her feet off of the side of the bed and slid them into her fuzzy slippers. With her eyes still shut, she stood and groggily found her way to the bathroom. Luckily none of her roommates had early classes, so she didn't have to fight over access to the bathroom. She looked in the mirror before doing a big stretch accompanied by a yawn and loud, dramatic groan.

B used the toilet first and then washed her hands to begin brushing her teeth. After about 10 minutes of washing and preparing herself, she started on her makeup. It wasn't going to be anything extravagant, but most days she decides to wear makeup because that's just how she felt the most beautiful. Thankfully, she took a shower last night so she wouldn't have to wake up early and do it. That would've added another hour to her routine and she would for sure end up being late.

Her hair was already done, so all she had to do was take it down and fluff out her curls. Going on 7:45, she was exiting her dorm apartment and heading to class. It was the first day of spring semester and she was angry with herself for choosing to take an 8am class, but that's all that was available due to it not being a Gen-Ed course and clashing with the other classes already on her schedule.

She put her AirPods in her ears as she walked across the campus. Beyoncé felt blessed to be staying on campus, but not in the regular dorms. The apartment was still a very short walk to the heart of the campus, but still maintained a lot of privacy. She knew exactly where the building was already and when she found the room, everyone was lined up outside of the door.

Beyoncé wasn't very outgoing usually. She was always polite and spoke when people spoke to her, but she never found herself going out of her way to make new friends. Attending Lincoln University of Pennsylvania was extremely far from home, so she had little to no friends on campus. Her friends were mainly her roommates since she had the same ones from previous semesters. She became really close with one of them since they connected instantly about being from the same city.

At the age of 21, Beyoncé was now beginning her second semester of her 4th and final year of university schooling. She was originally from Houston, Texas, but she wanted to go away for school. Her parents normally smother her, feeling as if they need to know everything she does and every move she makes. It was annoying to her most of the time. Of course Beyoncé followed their rules as they are the ones allowing her to travel so far for school. She didn't need them to pay for her schooling seeing as though she was rewarded a full academic scholarship. But they were still her parents. No matter what, she loves her family. Even knowing how controlling they can be. She knows it's all rooted in love.

Finally, the professor came and opened the door for them. She allowed the students to find their unassigned assigned seats. Beyoncé sat in the middle of the room because she couldn't see well in the back, but she also hated being directly in the front. This is a problem that she could easily solve by wearing her glasses, but she refused to do so.

She took her AirPods out and put them into the case on her keychain. The time was 8:07 and the professor was finally shutting the door to begin the lecture. She gave the students extra time to make it to class since it was the first day. "Good morning, everyone. I know it's early, but I'm a morning person." She smiled. "My name is Professor Greene and welcome to Advanced Criminology." Beyoncé pulled her notebook out from her bag along with a pen, ready to get some notes down.

"I'm not going to make everyone go around and introduce themselves because... it's early." She reiterated. "I could also stand here and read the syllabus to y'all, but I am not. I would get bored myself trying to do that, so I know y'all would too. We're going to dive right into chapter one. I expect you to read the syllabus on your own time, if you have not read it already."
