Jungkook's pov:
It was a good thing I didn't have much to do in the company. I told Yoongi to take a cab and leave the car for me. We left the empire to Jin's house.
It was clear to me that whoever that Tae guy was, Jin cared a lot for him as he didn't fight much with me for my interference.
I went to the nearest bank on our way and cashed 1 million dollars. They put the money in a black briefcase that I brought with myself from the company.
When I returned to the car, I noticed how Jin checked the time every now and then. He intended to be a muted cell phone the whole way. Therefore, I had to make him talk myself.
"Jin, who's Tae?" I turned my face to look at him.
"He's my childhood friend. The only person I have left from everyone that I had." Jin answered my question without hesitation.
"What's happened to him? Why do they wanna kill him? To begin with, who are they?" I asked the needed questions altogether.
"Woah, slow down! Tae works for a drug dealer. Last night when I returned home from your mansion, I saw him in front of my house all beaten up.
He said his customer stole his package which you can guess cost 1 million dollars and they beat him to shit. Now his boss is waiting for the money today at 4pm. And if he... he doesn't give the money... They..."
"They'll kill him." I finshed it for him.
"Yes." He closed his eyes and lowered his head after saying that single word. We both didn't say anything, and I was just looking ahead to the road while he was spacing out.
I got to see a supermarket to Jin's side a little farther and that was when I remembered Jin didn't have anything to eat based on his words which I trusted fully. I stopped the car in front of the place. Jin came back to reality when I parked the car.
"Why you stopped?" He asked, somehow both in an annoyed and surprised tone.
"I'll be back soon. Wait here." I said unbuckling my seatbelt.
I returned back with a lot of grocery bags in both of my hands. I put them in the back seat of the car. When I entered the car, Jin was glaring at me like I had two heads.
"What are those?" He asked, looking back at the bags with a frown on his face.
"You interrupted me while I was having my breakfast. I bought those because I thought maybe you could make me some in your home." I answered his question sounding honest, even though both of us probably knew that wasn't the reason.
"All of those just for a meal? Are you a pig or something?!" He asked with a giggle following his words. It was such a beautiful sound that had me want to hear it on repeat.
"Sorry! I just can't buy little!" I saw a small, sweet smile plastered on his lips. He was by god such a breathtaking creature. That little smile made me kind of braver.
"Jin?"
"Yes, Jungkook." He answered, turning his face to me.
"Why... why didn't you pick the money I left for you?" I finally let it out. His face fell and that smile faded away in mattar of seconds.
"I just didn't do that because of money." He answered so lowly that I had to lean towards him a little to hear him.
"What do you mean you didn't want it for money?" I asked him again. I was determined to get an answer from of him.
"I mean it was... Ah, please turn to your left to that path." And that was how he wanted to escape the topic. I turned to left like he instructed.
"Jin, please..."
