Author's pov:

"Taehyung, I'm here to listen to what you have to say." Jin spoke sternly while looking at Taehyung with some may call hatred.

Firstly, Taehyung's whole body shivered due to Jin's cold tone and second, Taehyung?! Jin had never called him Taehyung before. It was always Tae. It was supposed to be Tae forever.

Seeing Jin standing emotionless in his office for the first time caused weird, achy tingles straight aimed at his heart. It was a scene he never ever wanted to collect in his memories.

"Jin, I... I really don't know what to say!" Taehyung had his stare on Jin's hands all the time as he couldn't keep eye contact with him.

"Then, let me make it more easy and specific for you by asking questions. How did you find out that our dads were... were more than just a bunch of drug dealers?" Jin didn't know why but saying the word mercenary was somehow impossible for him. Just remembering it made all his system numb, let alone pronouncing it!

"I found out somehow late too, Jin. I accidentally overheard one of their conversation in my old house. It was more a plan than a conversation; a plan about how to block some person in the lane and end him. It felt like someone stabbed my heart when I heard my father say the word kill." Taehyung closed his eyes tightly.

"How old were you back then?" Jin asked in a low voice.

"Does it matter?!" Taehyung muttered in a tone a little above whisper, as well.

"OF COURSE IT FUCKING MATTERS TO ME, TAEHYUNG!... I wanna know for how long you hid this from me." Jin screamed out loud without caring anyone could hear him.

"Jin, I..." Taehyung shut his mouth and looked away, unable to continue.

"Taehyung, when the fuck did you find out?" Jin asked while getting closer to Taehyung. He stood in front of the other and turned his face towards himself by laying his palm on the older's cheek.

"I was thirteen then." At last, Taehyung found the courage to tell the younger the truth.

"So, t-that means you hid this f-from me for more than ten years." Jin stuttered in a shaky voice and backed away a little. He was trying so hard not to show his weak side.

He promised himself not to cry for this because he had cried enough, but it was goal more and more out of reach everyday. His past life would always find a way to ruin his present, even though he thought it was finally over.

"I'm sorry, Jin." Taehyung apologized, but deep in his heart of heart, he thought if his life repeated one thousand times again, he would still do the same thing all over each time.

"Why?" Jin asked, holding a painful voice that it broke that Taehyung's heart of heart into pieces.

"You were happy, Jin. You would go to school and come back with a smile plastered on your lips. You would talk about how your friends' fathers were doctors, shopkeepers, and legal jobs of those nature. How could I forgive myself for shattering an innocent being like you, making you compare your life with your friends, seeing how much you were different with them?" Taehyung finally said the things that were smothering him within.

"I ALREADY KNEW I WAS DIFFERENT! I KNEW MY FATHER WAS A FUCKING DRUG DEALER." Jin yelled out and grabbed the other's collar.

"Jin, drugs were bad enough. Our fathers were murderers. They killed people. We were eating and using the money of dropped blood, the blood of people our fathers killed. And only god knows how many and how they did it." Jin let go of the older's collar and instead stared blankly at him.
