Laura’s P.O.V

I was walking out of my mother's house, since I am on winter break I decided to come home to see my mom and brother. Although I do miss my friends, but I’m also rather glad to be away from the prison I live at. At least that should be its name not “School.” I walk down the lot until I reach my black motorcycle, I quickly hop on and put on my bike helmet and pull back my hair. I make sure my wallet is secure in my right breast pocket before I leave.

I get to the supermarket and park luckily close to the entrance. I walk in and grab my groceries, as I am heading out I see a small object in my peripheral vision. Why not, I mutter to myself as I casually walk over to the small object as my brown leather jacket slyly falls off my shoulders, my hands in pockets so I don’t bother fixing it yet. I pick up the black box with a red neck scarf on it. I turn the box over to look at the instructions on the back of the hand sized box.

------------------------------

How to play,

Think of your favorite show, then think about the part you wish you could change most.

The cars in the box will give scenarios choose one with the symbols “###” on it that will indicate the episode you play with then choose an “Outcome” card then start the game!

You won’t know the outcome until the game is over!

-

Have fun but stay safe!

Warning!

Changes can not be undone!

Can not leave game until completion,

Failure to do so will have

A tragic outcome!

------------------------------

This sounds like a good way to pass the time, I suppose. I put the box into my shopping cart and check out. I head home put the groceries up and head to my room, my mom and brother are at work, I got home a week ago im going to look for a job soon though. I pull the black box with the red scarf out of my pocket and then I take out the two stacks of cards labeled just as on the box, “###” and “Outcome.” I lay them on the floor and spread them out, I pick a single card from each section. I flip over both cards to see what my “adventure” was.

“Series Finial”

“Put yourself in the main characters shoes and change the story up until the episode ends!

You will move with the time jumps so be wary and be sure to have the right equipment!”

Hmm, I wonder what that last part about the ‘equipment’ means, I guess I’ll find out soon enough.  I put the rest of the cards that I am not going to use away back into the box and place it onto the shelf. I pick up the remaining two cards and place them on my bed. I remember back to what I was supposed to do next, I think it was something along the lines of “Place the cards under your pillow and start the game.” It sounds weird but I can’t argue with the rules. I do as I’m told and place both cards under my pillow, but now I need to start the game? I wonder what that could mean. Oh yeah, that’s right I need to choose a show! How could I of forgotten something so important. Well let’s see, what shows do I like? Hmm… I pace around my room for a spell and think. An idea suddenly hits me. Merlin!

What a perfect idea for the cards I drew. I’ve always wanted to have magic powers and what not. I’ve practically studied the show with the amount of times I’ve watched and analyzed the dang thing. I don’t regret how many times I’ve spent in my room, on my laptop at two in the morning watching seasons one through five, painfully having to fangirl silently so I don’t wake anyone up wondering what on earth I am doing at that ungodly hour. Yep I totally don’t regret failing that math test and getting grounded until my grades went back up and with how the grading system of hell works I’d say about a month with perfect A’s. I don’t regret it at all whatsoever. I take a deep breath and sigh.

Now that I’ve chosen a show and placed the cards under my bed I need to “walk out the nearest door to start playing.” This game is something different. I once again do as I am told and walk out of my bedroom door but something weird happens. There is a strange blinding light so I close my eyes. After a few seconds my eyes adjust and I reopen them again, but I have no idea where I am. I walk around frantically wondering where on earth I might be. After running around I start to recognize things. Oh. My. God. I am in the show, that’s what it ment. I raise my hands to my face so I can see them. I am not me. I race to a puddle and look at my reflection and I see something I was not expecting. I trip backwards muttering to myself how this is a dream and that I will wake up soon.

Unfortunately I don’t wake up. I stop walking around frantically to notice that I’ve passed the same puddle several times now. I really do not want to believe that this is happening, but it is so what exactly do I do now? I’ve never been in a situation like this before, let alone herd of anything like this! I need to stop panicking.

Right. Every game has a tutorial so that’s what I must be in right now. There is also instructions? I take a chance of hope and reach into mine or Merlin’s sactual to look for anything of use. I take out a piece of paper and read what’s on it. I try to make out the words but the way that it is written in makes it somewhat hard to make out the words, but I manage.

It says that In order to start the game I need to figure out how to use Merlin’s powers and that I need to locate the start of the episode. It gives other information such as what episode I am in and where I am currently at, aswells and what my character is and what my goal is. The goal is to change the outcome of the episode. Since the episode’s final is in two sections I suppose that I will go through both of them. I know how the episode goes so I just need to follow along with it? I'm not sure but I think that this is the safest option. I really really hope im right about this. Well I guess that I need to locate the start of the episode now? I figure out how to use the powers quickly. I see another flash of light and then nothing.

“You are about to begin the game. Would you like to proceed?” A robotic voice says into the darkness.

“Yes, I would like to proceed.”

“Starting in 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… Begin good luck.”
