Great now who knows what they are going to think I'm in huge trouble when I get out of this place anyways, so why not ruin a few things here as well. Also not to mention the advances of medical technology and probably entire cultures in the future. Well I suppose there is a plus for that, perhaps we will know more about medical reforms when I get back to my time.

Or maybe I can somehow just silence them about this, unlikely but still possible. I get up from aside the boy and slowly walk over the two with questioning looks, I cast my head down and keep my hands stuck to my side.

Gaius gives me a look of disapproval and the infamous “eyebrows of shame” as he rushes over to the bedside of the frail boy. My mind racing at a thousand miles per hour screaming at me for how stupid I was. I mean really why would I not remember such an important detail like that! Gee, I’ve really messed up now! I walk over to Gaius and see what he is doing. I walk over with confidence so it makes it seem as if I was not panicking.

    “Well?”

“He-he’s fine. I would have thought that his fever would have only slightly gone down, but I would have never thought that it would have gone down this much! He has also stopped shaking, Merlin what exactly did you do?”

    “Oh, um, me?”

“Yes you Merlin, who else would I be talking to exactly?”

    “The boys mother, maybe?”

“Merlin! Are you an idiot? She left a long time ago!”

“What-” I turn around to see that, yes for a fact the lady had left and was not here anymore, strange I swear she was still here.

“Well are you going to answer the question Merlin? What exactly did you do?

“Well um, you see I’m uh not quite Merlin, er it seems that I- well our bodies have been swapped. You see I am actually from the year 2020 and I bought this game and it um er well brought me here?”

“Merlin, that is by far the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard you say,” he crosses his arms.

“No no, you have to believe me! Please I can prove it! Um ask me a question only Merlin would know,” desperation fills my voice as I plead for a chance to get him to see that I am not in fact Merlin.

“Alright fine I shall give you a truth serum that will only last for a few minutes,” Gaius walks over to his potion display and looks around for a minute before finding what he was looking for and grabbing off from the top shelf then walking back over to where I was standing a little ways off from where the boy, who had more color in his face now was.

“Alrights bottoms up,” Gaius knew what was in it and he knew that Merlin did too, so he would know that the real Merlin would hold his nose when he would drink any potion that Gaius made him test to see if it was safe or not. Which it normally was, but on the off occasions when it wasn't; well lets just say it wasn't all that pretty.

I slowly took the potion from his hands. Nervously I then potion to my lips and shut my eyes. Without thinking I downed it in one go. I let the warm oozing liquid slide down my throat. The taste was beyond revolting, I really don’t want to know what was in it. I felt dizzy for a few seconds, placing my hand on a nearby table for support then clutching my head. Then all the pain went away and I felt strange. A little too strange for my liking.
