A/N: I am sooo sorry that I missed last week's update! I got distracted and I tried to work on it over the weekend, but I didn't have my notebook with all the story plans in it. I hope you enjoy this part? Chapter? Update thing? Idk what to call it...
Also, it's a bit short, so sorry about that...Warnings: swearing, an author projecting heavily onto Deceit
Deceit was furious. He threw his covers off of himself and almost smashed his phone as he turned his morning alarm off. He tossed his phone back on the dresser and went back to bed. He huffed and turned on his other side. He had just had a dream (a damn good one) about Virgil and the rude awakening ticked him off. Why couldn't he just sleep without being interrupted? Because he had a client and a case to work on. Whoopty do.
Deceit sighed and got up. There was no point in just lying in bed when he couldn't enjoy it. He threw on a robe and made his way to his kitchen. He started the kettle and opened his fridge. Great. He was out of eggs. It sucked that that was most of his diet, but he couldn't help that. He sighed and closed the fridge. He paced around the kitchen until his water was ready and made himself a cup of tea.
He went back to the fridge and opened it again, then closed it, unsatisfied with its contents. He paced some more while waiting for the tea to steep. He went back to the fridge and opened it once more, a habit formed over the years he spent in college hoping food would magically appear. He inspected the food in there, which was mostly moldy leftovers he didn't have the courage to dispose of properly. Perhaps there was something in the freezer. He checked, spotting a microwavable egg sandwich. Bingo. He unwrapped it and put it in the microwave. He stirred his tea while waiting for the beep.
Once his food was prepared, he made his way over to his living room and ate while watching the news. He didn't trust what they put on the television, but he supposed that if he could read between the lines, it was better than knowing nothing. After eating, he got dressed and ready for work, putting Virgil's hoodie, which he had been sleeping with, safely away. He made a note to stop at the store on the way back to get groceries, a process he wished he didn't have to endure.
With that, he left for work.

Work that day was a nightmare. The case was a mess, and honestly, (ha) he didn't want his client to win. However, he did his job to the best of his abilities and persuaded the court to bend to his whims, as usual. He forgot to get groceries on his way home, and he stubbed his toe the moment his shoes left his feet. So his day was going great. He undressed and flopped on his bed, ready to just call it a night.
After a few moments if just lying there, his mind clear, he eventually crawled his way over to his closet and retrieved Virgil's hoodie. He wrapped the garment around himself and went back to bed, even though it was only around seven evening. He inhaled deeply, finding relief in the comforting scent. He was pulled from his pleasant escape by a notification from his phone. He stared at it grumpily before reaching out to grab it. It was a message from Remus.
