Harry confronts Tom

"Tom you awake?" a whisper disturbed me "yeah i have been for a while now but i don't wanna move and disturb Char, she had a really rough night she had my shirt in a death grip all night" Toms voice husky and sleep coated "oh man I'm sorry, i know you really care about her, i bet it really scared you to see her like that last night huh man?" Tom cares about me? but that's his job hes a police officer its his job to care about people and to protect them "it scared me beyond words Harry, the look in her big green eyes... they almost begged me for me to help her... i think shes trapped in her own head and is to scared to trust anyone" the bed sank behind me as Harry sat down "shes a sweet girl Hanson but don't get to involved shes part of a case and you know what protocol says" i knew it... he didn't care about me, no one ever does and why would they? I'm just a stupid kid... and hes a grown man! hes a fully trained police officer god whats wrong with me!

Tom carefully shifted out from under me leaving me to lay on the empty bed "shes not just part of the case Harry, shes a girl who needs all the help she can get and i think some caring friends could be just what she needs, Doug seems to really make her feel safe maybe he can try and get her out of her shell?" i could tell that he was hovering over me protectively "i think first you need to wake her up, its almost none she needs to eat... maybe we could find a way to keep her mind off things?"  Toms hand rested one my shoulder and shock it softly "Charlie? sweetie its tome to wake up" this is it... years of drama classes are about to come in handy! gotta make him think that iv been asleep the last hour that iv been listening to his heartbeat and them talk "mmm?" shrugging away from his hand i curled up with the pillow he he'd been sleeping on and buried my head into it. A sweet giggle filled the room "Charlie come on rise and shine" his giggle was so angelic it made me want to smile but i gotta keep this going " mmmm no i wanna sleeeeep" trying to make myself sound as tired as i could i rolled onto my back and fluttered my eyes open "afternoon star shine" his big bright smile had been the first thing i opened my eyes to and oh how i loved it! "Charlie we got a big night planed for you tonight!" what? oh right taking my mind off things?

My day had consisted mostly of hanging out at Jumpstreet with them, eating pizza and playing bored games with Doug "we should go out to dinner tonight Char just you and me, we could go to like a real nice place and see a movie and after that we could you know hang out or some thing?" moving his knight on the chess bored taking my bishop i thought it over "well.. we could do that, but i have 1 request" moving my queen to take his knight i looked up at Doug "what is it? i mean I'm sure it can be done" not bothering to look at me whilst he tried to think of his next move i "we go into the city, the more people the safer it is" giving  me questionable look to see if i was serious my blank serious face was answer enough for him "uh yeah sure, ill pick you up fro Judy's house tonight ok?" looking at him with a cocky smile "sure oh and doug and one more thing..." i giggled to him "and whats that?" he didn't follow "check mate"
