Annelies Marie Frank was Born on June 12, 1929 to Otto and Edith Frank in Frankfurt, Germany. Otto's Parents were wealthy and Edith's Family was stable but not as rich as Otto's. The couple had a daughter already, Margot who was 3 years old and excited to be a big sister, born February 16,1926.
The family was Jewish but didn't believe all Jewish beliefs and celebrated Both Hanukkah and St. Nicolas Day(Christmas.)
Anne's childhood in Frankfurt was happy and peaceful. In 1933, a World War I Veteran, Adolf Hitler, Took Power. Germans were angry and distraught over the defeat of World War I, Hitler took advantage of Public anger and convinced Germans that Jewish People Were Horrible And the Cause of the Defeat.
Otto Frank decided after knowing Hitler was dangerous, to move his family to Amsterdam.
