"What about that one? I vote How to Train Your Dragon."
Will scoffs, "What, no. That's definitely Big Hero 6."
As Will accelerates on the gas pedal the truck gets louder and speeds up, making the sound that for some reason gets me really excited.
I love the sound of loud trucks.
As we pass the mini van to the right of us I look in their car at the tv to see what movie's playing.
"That's Baymax! I told you! I know my shows." His shouting and pointing catches me off guard, making me jump and erupt into laughter. His energy reminds me of a little boy sometimes.
"Okay fine, you get the point for that one." I pick up the pen and napkin from the center console and add another tally under his name.
We've been driving for about an hour and a half so far and Will has definitely kept me entertained with road trip games that he's introduced me to. He's also made me feed him sour gummy worms through out the drive because he "can't feed them to himself because eating and driving could cause an accident."
We're playing about three ongoing games right now. Guess the Movie, which means that whenever you see a car that's playing a movie you have to try to guess what the movie is before you pass them. Whoever guesses it first wins a point. License Plates, which means you get a point for spotting a license plate from a different state. And the third game doesn't really have a name, according to Will. Whenever you see a motorcycle you have to punch the roof of the car to get a point.
He said he likes playing the motorcycle game with his younger siblings because none of them are tall enough to touch the roof when they're buckled so he wins every time. Again, he reminds me of a little boy.
Will's parents are still in front of us with his siblings and judging by the way that they speed up to pass cars that are playing movies in them, I'm guessing that they're also playing the movie game.
As I watch the scenery passing by, I let out a quiet yawn and cover my mouth with my hand. I am pretty tired. All thanks to Will for keeping me up late last night.
"Ahh." I look over to Will and find him with his mouth open, just as expected, waiting for me to feed him another gummy worm. I reach my hand into the bag and pull out a pink and blue one.
We came to an agreement. If I feed him gummy worms during the drive then I get to eat all of the pink and blue ones since those are the best. I put the pink and blue gummy worm into my mouth and then reach back into the bag to pull out an orange and green one. I hold it out in front of his mouth and watch as he leans forward to bite it.
He gets this mischievous look in his eye and before I have time to react he reaches out and bites my finger before eating the gummy worm. Not hard enough for it to actually hurt but hard enough for it to take me by surprise. I pull my finger away and cradle it to my chest.
My eyebrows shoot up. "Did you just bite me?" I ask incredulously. What in the world?
He throws his head back in laughter and I pull my lips into a pout. He glances over at me to see my expression before laughing again.
Then he does something, so fast that I almost don't believe it actually happened—again. Without taking his eyes off the road, he reaches out and takes my hand in his and pulls my hand towards him.
