Nikki

Brantley's back, he scared me to death taking the cookie dough from me. To say I missed him, is the understatement of the year. Three years, it's been three years since I last saw the outlaw as he calls himself. Thinking back to highschool, he was always my protector and I had a huge crush on him. If it hadn't been for Brantley, my 5 foot nothin self would've died. I look at Becky and back up at her son and smile.

"Hey mom, can I have a bonfire tonight?" Brantley asks

"Of course" Becky replies

Brantley looks at me and I look up from my phone. My boyfriend, Alex, would never let me go have fun. He barley let's me out of the house the way it is. I debate my options, stay home and get beat up, or go to the bonfire and possibly spend the night with Brantley, safe from Alex. I think I'll go the bonfire.

"I'll be there." I say

"Don't let her get too drunk." Becky laughs

"I'll try" B replies

Suddenly there's a knock at the door, I jump off the counter and hide behind Brantley. I know it's Alex coming to get me and take me home.

"Nikki, time to go home!" Alex yells

I whimper, "Brantley please beat the guy up!"

"Who is it ?" He asks

"My boyfriend" I say

Brantley

Nikki has a boyfriend who I'm assuming is a total ass. I circle my arms around the small girl behind me.

"Alex, I'm going to B's bonfire tonight." Nikki says calmly

"Oh no you aren't!" Alex yells

"You never let me go out!" Nikki yells back

"That's because every time you go out, you get drunk off your ass" Alex states

I look at Alex and back at Nikki in hopes of this ending well. While I know it probably won't, I can at least hope it will.

"I believe that if the pretty lady wants to come to my bonfire tonight she can and you'll let her at her own free will" I say with a rising temper

"Well I expect my dinner to be on the table when I get home at night and half the time it isn't" Alex yells
