Nikki
I was back at mamma Beck's house and I'm sitting on the counter making more cookies with mamma Becky when the boys come running in, causing a commotion. I sigh and set my bowl of cookie dough on the counter.
"Hey, what's all the commotion about?" I ask
"Brantley finally asked Amber out!" Luke exclaims
I can feel my heart breaking into pieces, I can only hope that she didn't say yes.
"And" I say for him to continue talking
"She said yes and they're goin' on date tonight." Luke adds
My heart shatters, I'm in love with Brantley, I have been since highschool. I was too scared to tell him and now here I am.
"Oh, well, that's nice" I say and force a smile
Becky gives me a sad look and chimes in.
"Luke, you should take Nikki out tonight so she's not lonely."
"I also have a date tonight" Luke smiles
"I'll take her out." Kane says looking at me
I nod my head at him saying ok, without using words.
