No more time for flashbacks, Jonathan meets me at the City Hall. I sit there waiting, freezing half to death, my ears so frostbitten that they feel somewhat warm. He arrives, five minutes late, as expected, (he's never once been on time, I don't know why). "Long time, no see!" I say jokingly. "It's been two hours since I last saw you?" he said, clearly not understanding what a joke is. Jonathan has never really understood anything that involves comedy, he's just so serious. I haven't seen him laugh in a long time, because usually he only laughs when people get hurt.
Leave it to Jonathan to laugh at someone kicking a bone creature off of them in front of most all townspeople. I still have the scratches from that encounter, and it itches every once and awhile. We made haste to the inside of the City Hall, conversing along the way. "So why did you bring me here, why is it that every time you get in trouble you call me, is that it, are you in trouble? Tell me!" he said hurriedly. "No. What?" I said confused, "I called you to come with me on a journey! A journey so epic and awesome that we might...die?" I said. "Die?" he said, "No way, dude. That's not epic." he says, voice shaking as he speaks.
I tell him, "Relax, okay...This journey involves Bone Creatures, lots of them, we'll need to find some ancient artifact that will help us rid the land of this evil. Something that will clear the widespread of these vicious beasts." I say confidently, I know that strength in numbers is always the best option. Bringing the whole team gives you the highest chance of succession. Our team is gonna be something. I still haven't figured out who to bring. Then it hit me! My friend, Konnor, he'd been trained in almost any realm of fighting, but he was far away, in a different kingdom even. The Kingdom of Chongrace. He is at least 100 miles away, but that is a risk I'm willing to take, we don't have the materials to build planes now, because we don't dare go outside the walls. Otherwise this would be a piece of cake.
Using planes would have been such a better alternative, unfortunately, we ran out of planes after our final one had been taken out by Bone Snipers, the worst of them all. They hold bows, and quivers, that shoot bones. It hurts so horribly that most people can't stand it at all. The plane had been taken down by a bone sniper, and it had crashed into another kingdom, taking down its walls, the plane was meant to land on the runway of the airport in another kingdom. The plane was a trading plane, we had coordinated a trade. We had lost our best pilot, our only plane, and many goods. As well as destroying the walls to a kingdom, they deployed their best forces into an all out war against bone creatures, there was a small crack in the wall, but big enough to let hundreds of them in. The soldiers were armed, and ready. I am now going to tell you of this great war.
Zoooom! The sound of the plane was nearing, it was obvious to the townspeople that the plane had been sniped down by a bone sniper, the foulest creatures out there. The plane had ran across the air, wing broken, pilot passed out in the front. All of the goods were flying out, the poor men sulking in front of the pub decided to grab the coins flying out. The plane crashed into the wall and exploded very anticlimactic, as the wall had merely opened 8 feet. Wait...The wall opened! The soldiers were deployed immediately, and the armed forces had been ready, guns pointed up.
Suddenly, thousands of the creatures had poured into the kingdom, the poor man clinging onto his coins, viciously mauled and clawed by the creatures. He lay on the floor, half conscious. The soldiers aim upward, pointing at the creatures. Figuring out their weak spots, sizing them up. They fire at the legs, immediately crippling them, as they lay on the ground, helpless. Suddenly, it turns to dust. "Aim for the legs!" the head soldier yells. He gets his architects on the spot, to try and patch the wall, he also grabs his finest wizards. The wizards work on combining the materials for the wall to rebuild it. The wizard, or warlock, whatever you want to call him, did his magic loudly. "Throw the materials, now!" he said, taking precautions.
He threw the building materials into the air, and the wizard released an ice spell into the wall, as the spell collided with the wall, the ice froze the material into the wall. The wall was secured, but the bone creatures were still within the gates, and the soldiers were still fighting for the castle. They deployed snipers of the armed forces, and little to no time, the creatures were dead. As soon as they entered, they were gone. Just like that. The guards had immediately contacted the nearest kingdom to tell them about this event. The creatures were getting stronger, and it was a matter of time before the kingdom was overridden by the beasts. Hopefully no time soon, but anything, can happen....
