"Blast it!" Dave yelled throughout the pub as he missed his dart shot. "Blimey 'is isn't fair!" he said with such arrogance. He wasn't one for losing, and neither was Johnny, there had been tales of Johnny betting big money on a sport he'd never tried, and still beating the challenger in their craft. He was good at what he did, not many people could obtain the raw skill that he had. Johnny didn't even bat an eye after he'd won, he just ordered a drink and went back to socializing with the bartender and others in the pub. Johnny could tell something was up, Dave had been looking quite sour at this time, he couldn't help but think that he was up to something.
Dave suddenly chucked a dart at Johnny's head, without thinking, instinctively, Johnny turned around and grabbed the dart. "What the 'ell?" Dave said with his thick British accent. He ran off, but not before Johnny threw the dart back at his leg. "Ah!" he exclaimed. He was in pain, Johnny could tell, but he didn't care. He went over and took the man's leather wallet and rushed out of the pub. Word spread around town that Johnny had injured the man, Dave had reported him to the police, but it was of no use. They would soon find out by witnesses that Dave had tried to assassinate Johnny.
The thing about Johnny was that he could do every bad thing in the book and show little to no emotion, he was like a robot. He lost his innocence in his childhood. He was catapulted out of his childhood, and into manhood when his mother died, leaving his father deeply depressed. Johnny tried to keep his father feeling okay, but to no avail. He found his father hanging from a tree outside the house at just 13 years of age. He didn't want to turn to the streets, he detested violence, but he had no choice.
He was involved in several drug deals, and many gang shootings at the age of 15, he had quit by now, and moved on to other things. He decided he wanted to do something with his life. So he decided that betting some money on winning games would be a good alternative, the first bet he had made was $1000 to win a game of pool. He went up against a pretty big name in town, Big Bucks Joe. Joe bet good money on bar games just like pool, and anybody that could beat him was recognized by the townsfolk as a town hero, they would replace Joe and get his earnings. He beat Joe swiftly, let me tell you that story.
"You sure you want to bet $1000? Okay, well, I'll give you one chance to back out now, if you don't accept it, it's your fault! 3, 2, 1, zip. Times up buddy" he said, talking rather fast and shrugging his shoulders a lot. He had a rather strong build, and was always involved in Johnny's gang. He knew Johnny well. "I'm ready as I'll ever be." he pointed out, Johnny was rather happy for the match, smirking wildly, and laughing in a low voice, almost pitying his opponent. This was one of the only times I've seen him show emotion.
Johnny had won, sweeping Big Bucks Joe by quite a margin, as he walked away defeatedly, Johnny had walked away and ordered a drink, now $1000 richer.
"That's quite a story!" Kip pointed out to the bartender. The bartender had just finished a 7 hour shift in the nighttime and was ready to go home. "Hey, by any chance, do you know this 'Johnny' guy's last name?" he asked, this seemed strange at first, the bartender thought he'd already known of the man's last name. "Donahue." he exclaimed. "Hmm...could have sworn i'd heard the name Johnny Donahue before. Jonathan Dona- wait!" he said.
Jonathan had looked disappointed, his face in his palm. "I didn't think you would find out, just like everybody else that I've been friends with, most of them stopped talking to me after they figured it out. You don't seem like that type of guy." he stated. Kip seemed alarmed by this, what was that supposed to mean, and why does it matter? "I didn't think it was that bad?" Kip exclaimed. Jonathan looked surprised, so he smiled and went back to his holiday festivities such as drinking too much. He ordered whole kegs with drinks. He was a heavy drinker. Kip had tried to tell him that it was bad for his physical health, but he didn't seem to care.
