Chapter 11

The whole car ride was silent or one could say, it was very awkward for Xiao Zhan. He was seated at the front seat while Wang Yibo was driving.

He lets a low cough and spoke, "Ah so... How were you the past few years? I never thought you'd be the CEO."

"My grandfather passed down the business," he said calmly as he kept his eyes on the road. "Oh," that's what all the thing Xiao Zhan could mutter and the conversation ended just like that. Everyone knows how Xiao Zhan dislikes awkward silences or an atmosphere that's too quiet to his liking. He thought hard on what to talk about, like a certain topic. But at all costs, he would definitely avoid talking about what happened in the morning earlier! Just by thinking about it, Xiao Zhan couldn't help but feel embarrassed as his heart started thumping inside his cage.

He gave another awkward cough and said, "How's auntie? Where are they?"

"They're at the states right now," the CEO started, "It's their wedding anniversary."

"That sounds fun, please tell them my regards," Xiao Zhan said as his eyes soften. He honestly treated the Wang family like his own. Besides, they were very close neighbors despite getting to know for just a yeat. "So the reason why you guys moved out 16 years ago was your father taking over the business?"

"Yes, since my grandfather is very old."

"I thought it was still your grandfather who was the former but turns out it was already your father? Well, I can't believe I ended up working at your family's company. I actually find it embarrassing," the PA whispered his last words as he turns his sight at the window.

"Why are you embarrassed? I'm very happy that you're there," Wang Yibo gave him a side glance and saw the older's ears flushing with a tint of red.

"You- when did you even become a sweet talker?" Xiao Zhan complained as he crossed his arms with a pout. Wang Yibo was silent for a while as he slightly taps his finger on the stirring wheel. "I learned from the best, isn't Zhan-ge very good at talking when we were younger?"

"When did you even hear me sweet talk?" He asked in confusion but at the same time he felt bashful. This guy- I swear!

"I saw you one time in school and you were talking to a girl," as the CEO spoke, the corner of his mouth was moving upwards, forming a small smirk.

"I talked to a lot of people, okay? I can't even remember what I said," Xiao Zhan said as he faced Wang Yibo with his brows being furrowed a little.

Yibo parks the car at the side and it seems like they arrived at Xiao Zhan's apartment. The CEO turned to face his PA as he sets the car on brake. He didn't say anything yet as he looks directly at Xiao Zhan's eyes.

The older couldn't help but think on how handsome the other man was, his handsome features were lighten with the night lights and it took his breath away for a second. The way his eyes looked at him, full of adoration that made Xiao Zhan freeze on his spot, even forgetting how they already arrived at their destination.

"Hello, beautiful," just as those words rolled off the CEO's lips, Xiao Zhan's whole face went beet red as if it came with a poof! Even his neck felt very warm. "Ah... W-What?" The PA stuttered as he stared back at the brown orbs that were looking at him.

Wang Yibo smirked at Xiao Zhan's reaction and couldn't help himself chuckling for a bit. "That's what you said to the girl back then." The information sinking in to Xiao Zhan's mind was slow as a turtle that had him processing for a couple of seconds upon realizing what it actually meant. He was even more embarrassed than before as he embarrassingly tried to get out of the car with shaking hands at the door handle.
