After the exam, I put my jacket on, took off my wraps, and put my shoes back on. I called my mom and told her I was gonna go for a walk and chill at the beach, I of course had to convince her since she wanted me to train, but I have a way with words. I first went to the restroom, to change into something more fitting. I took my jeans, and tank top out my bag and quickly changed.

I walked to a soba shop, and surprise surprise, I tripped and fell into the person in front of me. They came down to floor with me. "I am so sorry, I tripped!" I quickly got up and offered my hand to the person on the floor. They took it and I helped them up. It was a boy half red, and half white hair. He had blue and grey eyes. He had a strong build, and was quite taller than me, about 5'9. "Really sorry about that, I wasn't paying attention, then I tripped, then you were right there so I fell o you, and now I am rambling, sorry" I looked to the floor.

"It's okay, no need to be sorry." I heard him say monotonously. I looked up from the floor, I didn't expect him to be so calm. "Please, let me do something, I can't help but feel guilty for making you fall to the ground. Let me buy your soba!" I insisted.  "No really, it's fi-" he stopped mid-sentence when he looked at me.

Candy Cane's POV

Todoroki: excuse me?

Author: Finally you show up!

Todoroki: What do you mean?

Author: The last few chapters you weren't in, the readers didn't see you, and nor did I.

Todoroki: You're annoying.

Why does he care so much? "No really, it's fi-"  I turned to look at her and couldn't help but be reminded of the girl who helped me when I was getting bullied. "Hello? Is something wrong?" I shook my head. She smiled with relief, "So what soba is your favorite?" I still couldn't shake the thought so I just responded, "Cold soba, really I love all soba." She smiled kindly to me?

She walked up to the counter, "1 bowl of your best cold soba, please." Wait. "You like cold soba too?" She giggled and just waited for the soba. Meanwhile, I began to think more. She is quite similar to the girl who helped me, and if they are the same person. . . Is she my childhood training partner?

Me and dad were walking to go train, apparently I would be working with another kid. When we got there, she was wearing a blindfold.

"You must be pretty confident if you wanna blindfold her," my father said. "Y/n is very strong, and much better than your kid," replied, the women I assume to be her mother.

"Alright, FIGHT!"

I thought it would be easy since she was blindfolded, but she had some of the most complex techniques I had ever seen. In the end, she beat me. Our parents were talking about plans for training, so we wandered off. She apparently had to keep the blindfold on. "So, you wanna be a pro hero?" I asked. "Yeah, I just like making sure everyone is happy, as long as they deserve it. I like to see people smile. She had a big one on her face too. "I wanna become a hero, even better than my dad!"  I said. She giggled.

I still remember how much she loved to help others, even if they were complete strangers.

"Here you go!" I was snapped out of my thoughts by the girl handing me soba. "What?"

"I got you soba since I made you fall."

"That is kind, but I don't thin it is fair that you got this for me."

"Well there is no returning it, bye, have a good day!" and with that, she waked out the store. I stood there, stunned. I decided I might as well eat it. I sat down at a table near the window, and watched the waves on the beach.

Y/N POV

That boy was quite strange, but he was nice. I ran to the beach and started t collect shells. I wanted to try and alter their shadows. It was hard for me, since I rarely used my quirks. But now, my mum isn't gonna force me to train until we get the acceptance letter, so I decided to train on my own time. Once I had enough shells, I stacked hem to make an oddly shaped shadow, I began to shape it into an animal. I had only learned I could shape it into different things, not that long ago. When I was done, I controlled it to run around. It was the shape of a small puppy.

A little girl on the beach saw it, and started to yell,"PUPPY!!!!" she began to run toward my shadow.  She sat down, and beckoned it to come. I saw how happy she was, so I sent the puppy towards her, when it reached her, she tried to pet it. She was quite confused when her hand went through it.  I walked towards her and sat down by her. "Hi!" I said. "Hello, can you help?, my hand keeps going through the puppy," she said sadly. "Well this my puppy, I made him, he is a shadow. " She looked at me in awe. "Cool!" I giggled, I formed the puppy into a cat instead, and the girl's face lit up in joy. "Where's your mom?" I asked. She turned around, and her face fell. "She was over there, now she's gone. " I frowned. "Let's go look for her," I said, I solidified the kitten and handed it to her.

"You hold the kitten, and I'll carry you, okay?" she nodded.

I picked her up, began to walk down the beach, the girl seemed worry, so she kept petting the kitten. I saw a women who was frantically running on the beach, she seemed worried. I ran up to her," Excuse me, ma'am. Are you looking for your daughter?" I asked. She turned to look at me, and her face was full of relief," Thank you so much, she ran off and I didn't notice." I put the girl down and she ran to her mom. " I take full responsibility, I made a shadow puppy, and she saw, so she ran toward it an began to play, I am sorry I had to worry you." I said.

She looked down at her daughter and saw the puppy," That's a shadow?" she asked. I nodded. "Can I keep it?" the girl said, the women looked at me, I smiled and nodded. "I just need to disconnect from her first." I closed my connection with the shadow, and the cat began to cuddle the girl. "She is her own now. She is still a shadow, but she is not controlled anymore, don't be worried if she is not solid. It is her way of being. Also, if you can't find her, shine a light where there are shadows, cause she can easily blend into them."

After that occurrence, I decided to head home. I thought today as very successful.
